As indicated by the dash thermometer, what’s the coldest temp your truck has been? Mine could be today, 3 degrees F.

But the record for any vehicle I’ve owned was a Subaru 6 years ago: -17 degrees F. It made some interesting noises at startup that morning

These trucks dont read accurately below -25 but I've seen -45c in nearly all my daily drivers.

We have block heaters as standard in my region. Plug it in and remote start, I never really hear my trucks start.

In the upper teens for me. No issues whatsoever, but you can feel the difference in the suspension components for the first few miles if you pay attention.

I think it was -25 when I first got in it. This picture is from after driving for 30 minutes and parking it for a few minutes. The temperature gauge starting dropping back down after I stopped driving. That was a brutal cold snap. At least, for southern Wisconsin. I can't imagine living up in Canada!

No remote start. I got in and started it and waited a few minutes before driving it. It was funny hearing a 2 week old vehicle sound like an old shit-box when I first started it.

I have worked in a -70° freezer, and that is an interesting experience! You can't stay in very long at all. It feels like being on another planet!

It doesn’t get very cold in Southern California but the coldest was 35 degree Fahrenheit. My truck showed the snowflake symbol and was covered in ice at 7 in morning. Sat in the truck for a good amount of time waiting for the ice to get slushy so I could use the wipers.

It's fun with winter tires, you can boogie along like you're in a super car, everyone else struggles for traction.

I'd rather be in Hawaii or west coast US/Canada, but I was born here in the Prairies and its where all our family is.

True! It's cold right now here. High of 5° or so today. I went driving around a bit and it did feel extra stiff. I usually take it easy for awhile as I'm always concerned about things breaking in the cold.

Mine has been down to about 25 below. It took a couple extra turns to start up, but it ran fine after that.

That's weak. Coldest mine saw was -58°F. With a block, battery and oil pan heater it started fine and did the job. Weeks at a time below -20°F were not uncommon. I love the cold and the Tacoma held up fine. Coldest start with no plug ins was -35°F and it didn't blink an eye.

Started my 22re at -44c once, I swear I cut a few years off it’s life doing that.. Treat my Tacomas much better, in fact tonight my 3rd Gen is all set with the timer and block heater ready for tomorrow.. Only -15c but it helps get it warmed up quick.

I stand corrected. It’s -2F here right now, not 3F.

1 degree this morning on my way into work! There was a cold snap 2 years ago I believe when it got deep into the negatives (-40-50 factoring wind chills). This has been a relatively mild winter so far in the Midwest. Im sure the Noreasters will say differently!

Since the question was specifically about 'your Tacoma', that would mean since I've owned it starting in '15. Not other vehicles in previous years.

And while I don't have a 'indicated in my dash' feature, I do have temp display in my rear view mirror.

So. There there may have been a light coat of frost. Twice.

Coldest I remember was -28 while snowmobiling in Northern WI. Heated grips had a hard time keeping up! This was from my old 5.0 Explorer. It got colder that night but the truck fired right up in the morning.

Had that truck in those temps on a regular basis and it always started right up. Sometimes it would would have lifter tick for a second or two though and power steering pump would whine at first. Only other issues I ever had were windshield washer fluid freezing solid (the cold temp stuff) and back wiper froze to the window and the arm snapped.
