Does it happen only on bumps, or all the time? Post a video, but I would recommend getting a professional opinion.

I don't know where the breather hose is for the transmission, but if you flush the diffs also flush the transmission. Fluids are cheap, rebuilds are not. Shortly after having my front and rear rebuilt I had to rebuild my transmission. Not fun.

Squeaking doesn't sound like the rear end but I could be wrong. Should be more of a constant howl or metal on metal. Try some WD-40 on suspension parts and bushings to see if the noise goes away.

That's probably all the mud and grit that's caked between your leaves in the leaf pack. Hit them with a good pressure washer and it will probably stop until they get dirty again.

Yeah i def think its probably just dirty after seeing that pic of your truck swamped. Good luck with the diffs, hope a drain and fill fixes it

Yes, spray the truck down at the car wash as best you can. dirty/mud with make leaf packs and bushings squeak.

If you have to work inside the diff on the bearings etc. it might be time to think about a re-gear - whether or not you need it.

Don't do this. WD-40 is not a lubricant and it is not compatible with rubber and some plastics, like the LCA/UCA bushings. As far as displacing water, I think it's a little late for that.

Pulling the control arms, struts, leafs, shackles, etc, basically anywhere that there is relative movement, and lubricating/anti-seizing the metal on metal joints and hardware would be a good start along with replacing the fluids in anything that was submerged. There might be some electrical connectors that inspecting and mitigating moisture before it turns into an issue would be a good idea, too.

I never said it was a lubricant. It’s helpful for finding random squeak noises, just make sure to wash it off after. Also, WD-40 is safe on rubbers... as well as most plastics, metal, and painted surfaces.

We used to spray down jet ski motors (including wires, plugs, etc) and never ran into any issues with parts deteriorating, but you can check out WD 40’s website if you’d like. Additionally, many spray the undercarriage with WD-40 before wheeling, as mud will fail to stick to it and it makes for an easy cleanup.

Triflow or actual grease would be optimal IMO if you are looking to lubricate, but wd40 is cheap, safe, and removable. Unfortunately, dirt likes to stick to it and it is a poor lubricant. I’m sure if you dunk rubber in WD-40 you would have issues, but it’s perfectly fine for the purposes listed above. The benefit is it penetrates which will help locate the noise.

just confirmed the noise is coming from the leaf springs. No big deal.

How would water get into the front diff if the breather is in the engine bay? Also, the red circle is where oil is coming out when it spins. Is there a seal there I need to replace it should I just drain and fill?

    Thanks.

If you did something to make the axle and drains leak diff oil out after you get it out of the water with 6" of head, then you need to conservatively assume that water leaked in while it was sitting with water in 24" of head. (If that seal isnt holding the oil in, why would it reasonably hold the water out?)

IN ADDITION, Water can get in the breather because that tiny rubber/plasticky tube is easily damaged, and likes to fall off the ADD where it attaches. It then lets water go directly into the ADD actuator and then into the diff.

If the seals are leaking, REPLACE THEM (this has already been mentioned and you even asked for P/Ns didnt you). While replacing the seals, change the diff oil. Inspect the vent line. Inspect the removed oil. If there is ANY evidence of water in the diff oil or damage to the vent line that might allow water into the diff, remove and clean the ADD actuator ALSO.

Great thank you. Sorry I’m just trying to understand what happened. Still learning this stuff.

this is the seal I’m trying to find. Everything is closed here in Lebanon for the next two weeks so I’ll order it from the US. Is that the only deal I need?

    thanks again.

That is the part number. It looks like the one @GrundleJuice identified, and it looks generally right to me... but I recommend to verify for yourself at https://parts.toyota.com/

It should be under something along: 'Brakes & Suspension' -> 'Front Axle Housing and Differential' -> and select all the images

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Mine were squeaking on a brand new truck without having wheeled it anywhere. Lifted up the rear end, gave leafs a good wash, blew out water with compressed air, let remainder dry and hit it up with Garage Door lube. Haven't made noise since. That stuff is great since it doesn't attract dirt.
