First job of the day, shovel repair. Guy keeps it on his dump truck and said he didn’t want wood, old fence post it is.

I left the store this morning and was headed to the shop and a cop pulled me over. He walked up and said "papers" I said "scissors, I win" and drove off. I guess he got mad and wanted a rematch, he chased me all the way to the shop with his lights on

Mornin everyone. Forecast calling for single digit highs for the next 2 weeks! Yaaay! Oh, guess we might hit 10 degrees on a couple of days. At least it's not terribly windy.
I'm going to have to say no schooling for welding. I did have a little welding in high school metal shop but the first welds I did for grading, the teacher said that's better than he could do and asked me to help others out.
Grandfather welded and had his own business so I've had some exposure prior.

I welded everything with a stick welder until I was 20 years old. Never seen or used a mig welder until I came here and a guy working here showed me how.

I would like to try and TIG some day. Nearly everything is TIG welded where I work. We have 5 guys welder titles. None seem interested in helping me learn how to TIG weld even though I've showed a few of them quite a bit in the machine shop.

I made these racks years ago. Guy needs to find a new mechanic. Said his truck blew up so he bought a new one. I just drove it, runs great

I have to move these racks to his new truck

I've dabbled a bit in tig welding, it's honestly easier than mig welding in my opinion because it's such a slow/even process

Because I'm a glutton for punishment, I looked at the weather on Maui since we were supposed to have been there this week.

Fargo: currently -17, windchill of -34, high of -4
Kapalua: currently 65, high of 80, 4mph wind.
