thats a dumb idea

 

My friend put some LED's in his hood scoop and actually made a short movie of it haha. Dont know how to put the movie straight into the post so heres the link.

If i was going to do it i would do it so you couldn't see the bulbs directly. this way it just makes the whole scoop glow.

 

i did something similar in my dodge. Mainly did it for the pitch black dunes, it looked pretty cool..

 

I think its a good idea, especially since the Scoop is hard to look over while off-road. I definitely would put some good lights in the grille, not LED's! Go for it, if you like it then just do it.

Funny you mentioned that. I had a 2002 BMW M3 Coupe. The rear view mirror had a red light hanging off of it the size of a quarter. Everytime you press the button on the key to lock and unlock it, it would blink. It would also blink intermittently when the car was locked and the alarm was armed. I went to starbucks one day parked the car, as I was leaving some dumb cop asked me why I had that and that its illegal and only law enforcment vehicles can have red or blue lights visible like that. What a moron.

 

While you're at it, you might as well put on some spinning rims and some neon lights underneath.

Might be a silly idea for 2008 - but back in the 80's - totally badass!!!

That said, peeps here have good ideas. Imagine a set of lights in the scoop... like any set of small fog lights... Kind of like a set of PIAAs or Hellas... Would be bad ass...

I remember the days. Totally not like the knight rider from today. I even remember seeing the car "kit" at universal studios in Hollywood. As far as the Knight Rider Taco is concerned...the red lights in the hood scoop are kinda corny. Now, a bright fog light in there would be pretty sweet. Different thats for sure!

I've thought bout doing in my BSP X but with something like this and either in the scoop or in the lower grill behind my lower mx grill...

and NO I wouldn't be driving around with this on, it would just be nice to have installed for car shows and meets
