    i have a recently acquired 2012 460 (came from a couple tacomas and 4runner before that). make sure to peak around for leaks under the hood/vehicle, smells of burnt oil, etc. These things seem to want to weep oil and coolant from a variety of places. Otherwise, depending on where you are - check frame for rust, make sure airbags are in good shape if you get one with air ride, make sure you test 4Lo, center locking "diff", etc during your test drive to ensure all of that stuff works.

    @Clark27 what he said.
    I bought a 13 a few months ago and didn’t know about the coolant leaks. Mine ended up having a very finely cracked radiator. Look around for crusty pink stuff all around the radiator area and the front skid plate. Radiator replacement ran me a little north of $600 at a local shop.
    Oil weeping from the timing cover is very common but not a major issue as long as it’s not dripping.
    I had 4/5 door lock actuators fail. Thankfully I caught it before buying and negotiated this into the deal. FYI you can DIY these for $8/door!
    Otherwise these are awesome, I LOVE driving my 460 compared to my old 18 Tacoma.

    After driving my GX all week I took my truck to go get dinner tonight. Wow. I didn’t realize how bad the 3.5 and AT sucks.

    Work great with my gx470. Would like to regear some day but perfectly fine with factory gearing.

    Yup! I noticed it almost immediately but gave it a little time in case it was placebo effect. No placebo here. Granted, I would expect your Tacoma to be better since mine was stock gears and no OVT on 32”s.
    My Jeep JKU on 35”s w stock 3.21 gears drives better (engine/trans) than my Tacoma did. This tells me Toyota really screwed up with their engine/trans choices and tuning.

    Sorta a hybrid with emphasis on plate. The light bar doesn't go. I'll be installing 3" light pods in the bumper once it gets finished.

    Queen City Off Road Toyota had a fundraiser/meet today at LFD in Denver NC. I decided to throw a few bucks towards a good cause to buy a couple raffle tickets, and to my surprise, I won a $250 LFD gift card! :bananadance::bananadance:

    I was planning on buying their skid and sliders in the next couple weeks anyway so I’m on a bit of a winning streak, first Pepboys tires, now LFD!

    The meet had a great turnout of 50+ vehicles including: 3 470’s, 1 2nd Gen 460, 2 1st Gen 460’s (mine & Jay @ LFD’s).

    I entered a Brownells contest for a 14k round barrel of 5.56... at today’s rates that like $12k+, does that count? Haha

    yes! considering how little i've been able to get to the range in the last year or so, 14k rounds would last me a lifetime. good luck!
