I went to meet my ex for some post-divorce business and various errands, she asked if we could ride in the same car. My truck said it wasn't rated for that kind of hauling capacity. Damn, truck, that's cold.

That is the recommended procedure. The handling maybe a little numb till things warm up too.

-34°c (-29f) this am. Haven’t had a -40 yet but the last vehicle’s temp sensor stopped working at -40 and returned an ‘err’ or 00 message or some such thing.
Clutch was stiff as usual. Just another day. Put another log on the fire. The black flys will be out before we know it.

toyota temp sensors are only rated to -40C or F. my 4runner for some odd reason reports about 3-4 degree's warmer than actual outside temp the last few years.

Think I actually might have drove it in the 40s F this year after it came out of the garage which is tied to the house A/C and heat and is about 65-70 or so when it’s that cold outside.

Life for my truck is rough in FL

    Stock for now.. maybe
This is in my work truck not my tacoma. It's been past -60 F ambient but this is the coldest windchill even though vehicles don't care about windchill. I couldn't find proof colder than this though

I find it to be very unsettling when people turn their cars on in very cold weather and immediately putting it into drive. Its terrible for the car, especially if its pretty old.

So, it was a couple degrees below zero last month, truck made a weird grunt when i started it, very similar to what my 4.7 tundra use to do when below zero.
