They’re all expensive to build. Pick your taste and go with it. I will say my front 609 is just a little more cost wise vs buying a 60, stripping it, and then buying all the upgrade stuff. Buying inner cs and some other stuff is what pushed my price over but not necessary.

most 60s are strong if you build them right and with chromolys etc just research what high steer, transfer case drop you want, and cost of parts in general and decide.

If I were swapping in tons, yes. Normally a couple hundred bucks from a yard. Massive outers stock and a huge aftermarket. They just aren’t super leaf friendly because of the short drivers side tube.

I’m also a masochist and my next front axle (not for quite a while...) will be a 9.5” center with FZJ80 outers or possibly SD60 outers. But that’a probably a bit of a pipe dream right now

I mean, I already shared my SAS list with you, so you know generally how much it's going to cost outside of shipping and tax. I need like another year, maybe 3, and maybe a daily if I feel like being a responsible adult. (Knowing me, I'll just ride my bike to work because I'm dumb  ) I'm just trying to decide if I want to 4 link the rear and get beadlocks off the bat.

Hopefully you'll be smart and move out of California for the 4 link rear. Once you relocate/alter the fuel tank location, no smog place will want to touch your truck. Hence why most CA builders run 3 link rear instead of 4 unless it's a green sticker.

Y'all keep saying i wont, but watch. I'm bout too hit the streets and start selling myself out. I will have one tons and 40s

Noted!!! Never thought about that. I want my rig to be street legal. Not a trailer queen

So ... Confirmation today if the axle housing is bent or not.... If it is

Toyota recycle dismantle shop has some. I know the owner.

Or fork out a little more and get a beefed up TG housing (in stock).

I can always flip the TG housing down the line

    Do you have ABS?

TG housing says it only works with non-ABS axle shafts. When I was looking into them, I wasn't clear if that means you could just remove the tone ring and inboard retainer ring and be OK with ABS shafts. :notsure:
