I will say, this balm and oil I switched to is really leaving my beard tangle free and smelling good.

Other stuff smelled good, but left my beard dry and would tangle up easily.

What's crazy though is, it was hard to believe I had found that though.

Hell, I talk to some of the guys here about it (and my personal friends) about my situation.

Amazing what the right person (person of quality even) can make you feel in months that someone else couldn't make you feel after years with them.

    True.

But at 35 years old, I was still very closed off, generally speaking.

Absolutely. Person in question for me felt right in months, better than someone i had dated for almost 5 years. And we're not even romantic.

Yea but what age was your mom in that photo?

I had a similar experience.. had a gal get all SORTS of bent out of shape when I sent her a photo of my sister and my nephew, saying shit like "I don't give a fuck about some random ass strangers kid"

She had met my sister already and had seen the kid when he was an infant lol

Thanks, that's one thing I've gotten significantly better with, I don't beat myself up as much as I used to. Now I'm just more mad over the instant turn in her attitude to jump to that conclusion as well as the fact im getting random ass gift cards mailed to my apt with no return address. I'm pretty good with handwriting but it's not one I recognize plus they spelled my first name wrong so it's not someone who really knows me

Varies by the audience over here. Some people have made it clear that I'm better off keeping to myself.

    @Abeyancer @Blue92

Alright y'all, I have a challenge for you. I want to hook this Boeing 747 coffee maker up so I can use it like a normal coffee maker. Only issue, I don't have a 747-400 to plug it into. It uses 120VAC 3 Phase 400hz for the heating element, while the control system for it I believe takes 28VDC.

I managed to find the spec sheet for the cable and plumbing sled that mounts in the galley:

Yea my mom was young there, it was a photo of her before I was born. So...yeah I can understand how it may have looked to my gf at the time lol.

She was also on edge with me a lot because I had put her through hell with some of the self-destructive shit I went through in my early 20s. Our relationship never recovered from it and we broke up after nearly 5 years of being together. I don't blame her for it at all though. We were basically kids. And in a lot of ways, I went through it again with my next relationship only it was the other way around that time. It was like karma lol. Those were some rough but formative years you could say.

If its just the heating element that needs the 120VAC, you might be able to run it off a wall socket and a 28VDC power supply for the controls.

    Or..

Do I even want to know what that 400hz PSU costs haha

The issue is it's 120vAC @ 400hz 3 Phase. What a completely bizarre voltage. You think it would run off 120vAC 60hz 1 Phase?

If its just a big resistive heating element it may not care. Not sure you'd get rated power out of it, I' d have to dust off some math for that.

Is there anyway to pop it open and see how its connected up internally?

I'll bring the front clip of a 747 complete with galley on a trailer the next camping trip.

I hope you like peanuts and disappointing microwaved food

Boss wants me to organize a photoshoot for the company out in the CA poppy fields (which is basically the high desert)

This is what they look like in full bloom on a good year

    3e871c477d543ecfc727fbe447a2ffbf.jpg

So I went and checked the live webcam at the CA Poppy Reserve state park

    Screen Shot 2021-02-08 at 2.25.52 PM.jpg

    womp womp

....either we wait a couple months and hope they bloom, or I have a lot of photoshop to do in the near future.
