Hi guys, I've been researching suspension setups for months now. I narrowed it down to this...

I want to stay mid travel front. 2.5 kings or foxes adjustable. Was looking at king 3.0 but might be overkill for a mid travel setup with under 10 inches of travel.
For the rear I'm at a cross road. I want to run a 12 inch shock with relocation brackets... however I don't think its possible without a 2 inch wheel spacer which I can't do. Deaver J66 leafsprings with hammer hangers.

I was also looking at bilstein 8100's but the restock as of now is october from what I heard, also not a fan of digressive pistons.

I want a plush ride on the street but I also want to be able to crank the clickers up and hit some trails at a decent speed without riding on bump stops. I want a 2 inch lift upfront with a one inch rear lift the deavers provide. Keeping front spring at 550-600lbs.

I have a 2020 trd OR DCSB on 285/75/16 KM3 with methods and I don't want the tires sticking out anymore then they are, hence not wanting to do wheel spacers.

So to recap, atleast 2.5 front and rear shocks with resi and adjusters.
Deaver J66 leafs with hammer hangers
I'm down to buy hydro bump stops

    Budget is 10,000

Get an @AccuTune Offroad Stage 5a Fox or King and you’ll still have $3000 left over. Or build it custom without the shock relocation if you don’t want to use wheel spacers. You can fit their 9.7”? tundra shocks without the relocation.

Can you run rear shock relocation brackets without wheel spacers with method rims?

Can you run tundra rear shocks without anything else?

Are the fox 3.0s worth it?

Is it possible for adjustable 2.5 shocks to be plush on the street but also have enough tuneability to hit trails at decent speed without it being bumpstop city?

You can ask this for yourself over in the hammer hanger thread, but I’ve seen @ARCHIVE state multiple times there that wheel spacers are needed to clear the shocks. I’m guessing your Method wheels are only 0 offset?

Tell you for sure when mine arrive ;) But yeah they are supposed to be OEM fit.

    From Archive:
-Requires min 1.50" wheel spacers with 4.75" backspacing for smooth body, Bypasses with tubes forward should go to 2.0" wheel spacers
-Ideal 3.5 or 4.0" backspacing wheel with 1.25" spacer. Tire rubbing may be an issue otherwise

1" rear bump stop spacer is required, otherwise bolt right in when the lower shock sleeves have been swapped out.

    Overkill

Absolutely, if you look at our IG page, we have some cool video of our Tacoma going pretty fast with a basic mid travel kit. Tuning is everything in a good suspension system.

From what I was reading rear travel is everything on tacomas, it sucks that running spacers are the only option for more travel. Are hydro/air bumps overkill for mid travel setups? Are the bumps that come with the u bolt flip kit progressive?

Don’t mean to hijack this thread, but is that spacer only required with the OEM bump stop or would you need it with the Archive U-bolt flip and super bump as well?

Air bumps are really only needed for those driving hard off-road, usually a long travel kit. Depending on the application, it could be a good idea, but not needed for most mid travel kit Tacomas.

1" spacer over stock since the Tundra shock has a 1" longer compressed length than a standard Tacoma shock. ARG kit includes the 1" bump spacer, which is why we include those in our kits.

    Ok I think I'm set
stage 4a kit with fox 2.5dsc, deaver J66 and spc uppers.

Do I need a longer rear brake line?

What do you recommend for front bump stops?

Rear brake lines are not needed for these shocks. Front stock bump stops are fine for most. if you find yourself bottoming out a lot, we could re-valve the shocks or you could add different bump stops later on. We run factory bump stops on our Tacoma and work just fine.
