What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I did the Noico thing covering the doors, floors, and back wall. And then put additional foam on top of the noico on the rear wall and did achieve a nice reduction in noise but found that the highest amount of noise continues to come from the rear wall. I think it comes from the two vents. I even have a permanently mounted water purification system/storage unit on the 40% behind the drivers seat

already doing the road trip in the US for the past six months now if I could only figure out the software part...being 60, not going to happen

Got new tires and wheels installed

 

We are going to be doing that this July. Not across the US apt anything. Leaving Wyoming and heading through Montana, Idaho, Washington then down the Oregon coast. MAYBE apart of Cali. Not sure, they are not a fan of our boom stick carry laws around here....

 

I have that same case and configured the foam for my cell booster gear, but then the remaining foam started coming loose - very annoying.

 

Agreed, it was cold (about 45? Last night) last night. I’m in the town of Joshua Tree, going put another blanket on the bed

sounds like a great trip. 6 months into our trip and the SW US, not counting CA, is huge! I’d recommend continuing the drive 100 miles into CA along the coast. The redwoods are awesome, even for a forester

 

Second this^. I swapped mine for aluminum because the plastic felt like it could break. Also installed a Fumoto drain valve which allows for a no-splash oil change

 

Different wheels, and new tires.

 

Was there a noticeable difference in driving your truck after the update? My 2020 is due for it's 5k service.

 

Yes, it seems to have more lower end power and didn't shift as much on the highway when pulling hills. I really didn't mind it originally, but this IS better.

 

That’s what we were thinking. Going to be hauling an R Pod 195, so getting the truck ready. Not sure if I’ll need it, but ordered some airbags for the rear. Can’t hurt I suppose!

 

Got my Alpharex Tail lights in today. Ordered the smoke red ones. Very happy with the purchase. Quick and easy install.

Had the update done to my 2019 and have about 2k on it since with a trip from MD to Indiana and back and from MD to Pittsburgh and back. It's better, but IMHO still some surge at WOT, upshifts too far at too low of a speed, still downshifts too soon and initially too far with too little push on the pedal. Torque converter unlock/lockup management could be better. Disconnected the ACIS actuator plug which helps with the surge but not much else. I'll probably be looking to hook up with someone for an OV Tune in the near future.

 

Do you have to go ask for the update, or they auto do it?
