I just ordered an Eibach pro lift kit from headstrong and need assistance with tire size. Per eibach, no need to change out the UCA’s so I am running them and will be running stock rims, for now. 17x7.5 +30. I was thinking 265/70/17 probably wildpeaks over ko2’s. I don’t want BIG, but I would like proportional. Also I am not a huge fan of them but do I need spacers.

if you have Picts with your 2-3 inch lift that would be helpful.

3” lift with 285s. And you may need ucas if you can’t get the alignment in specs. You won’t know till it’s on the rack. 836B0D3D-B525-4EF1-BB5E-B6EAB78FC063.jpg

255/80r17. Taller. Will fill out the wheel well nicely but will track on the highway and perform much better in most situations than the wider 285’s. Also, they’ll be lighter.

Also... search and read for hours. There’s already a ridiculous amount of material here.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
    I like 255s but my 285 70 17 C load KO2s are only 51lbs vs the 53lbs Falken, 55lbs Nitto and 58lbs for the ST Maxx.
I’m still getting close to 18mpg combined with a lift and a leer Canopy.
Also 255s wander a bit more than 285s.

I did run 265 70 17 on my stock Sport wheels, and then I got some SCS wheels. I just had a tech at Toyota (I know sounds crazy) do a wheel alignment and I had no issues.
This is with 5100s and Eibach coils so around 1.5 inch of lift. Icon mini leaf pack in the rear.

In the absence of other factors, there is no way a wider tire tracks straighter than a narrow tire. Tread patterns and other issues play a role, but a narrow tire will be lighter than a wider tire of the same height, and it will wander less on the road. You sound like you’re loving your 285 ko2’s though, and they are doing what you want. That’s the goal. So :hattip:I say well done, sir.
