    looks incredible! Thanks for sharing!

What size lift and size tires? Also can you share the offset of your wheels?

Do you have any rubbing at all?

    thanks again!

Thank you! I have a very similar set up like other people here. Nothing fancy. Bilstein 5100s and a 1” block in the rear with 275/70R17. Wheel offset is -12

Edit: I forgot to answer if I rub. Not anymore, since I cut my bumper a while back

looks great, is it a 2.5" lift in the front? I have 275 70 17 on TRD wheels and was thinking 2.5 upfront and 2" in the rear. will that give too much of a rake?

Can you please share a side view?

It’s only a 1.55” lift in the front. I can go 2” in the front but that’s the max on these Bilstein. I’m considering going the full 2” so it can be leveled by I’m not sure. I think I want to keep some rake like I do currently just in case I carry something heavy in the rear.

I think If you do the 2.5” in the front and 2” in the back you’ll have about the same amount of rake as I do.

I can get you a more accurate photo of the side tomorrow morning. I only have side photos of it when I first got my new wheels & tires on and I was carrying all 4 stock wheels in the bed.

Here is the photo just because lol

that looks sharp, looks like a bigger lift! I'll rethink the 2.5 upfront.

    Thanks!

These are looking great - thanks for sharing the pics. I'm considering the Courser AXT2s as well for the same reasons you mentioned in your original post (lighter weight and lower load rating than other 275s).

Do you have any comments on performance and wear now that you've spent some time on them? I'm especially curious about snow and wet weather performance since the AXT2s appear to have less siping than something like the Wildpeaks and Cooper Discoverers.

Also, can you tell if the siping on the AXT2s is the full depth of the tread blocks, or is it shallow/surface level?

I’ve got the Icon stage 4 going on tomorrow and getting the same offset wheels and Falken tires as you. Hoping I can get by without any rubbing. How much was it rubbing by on yours? I’m contemplating going to the KO2 just because it’s .2 inch smaller and hoping that would clear if these don’t.

what did you end up doing to get rid of the rubbing on yours?

Hey Frosty, no snow to test on, but nothing to write home about as far as wet weather performance is concerned. I lose the rear end on wet black asphalt fairly regularly on quick acceleration up hills and around corners. They’re also pretty loud for an AT tire. My KO2s and Falkens were quieter. To be fair, these haven’t worn evenly on my truck (neither have any tires I’ve had to date), so that likely doesn’t help.
I’ll be changing my wheels and tires in the next 10k miles or so— going to an 8.5” wide wheel and back up to 285s

Thanks a lot for the response GC! I'll definitely take your comment about noise into account while making a tire selection.

Curious if anyone who has put some decent mileage on trd sema wheels (17x7) with 275s has noticed any crowning or uneven wear on their tires?
I had 265s on the semas and they looked awesome and rode great.. wouldn't mind a little bigger if a tire, but not at the expense of shortening the life of the tire.

    TIA!

Gotta admit the sluggishness of the ride with the 275s is starting to get to me. I went from P-rated 265/70/17 Wildpeaks that were 46 lbs to the C-rated 275 Wildpeaks that are 57 lbs. The ride is just super sluggish. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the weight gain. Going to run OVTune and hope that helps the ride a bit.

Good to know. Appreciate the update. I think 265s are the way to go, again.

To be honest I've considered going back to the 265s because they drove great and looked good too. Loved the Wildpeaks in that size. I do like the beefiness of the 275s and they're the largest I can go without a CMC, but the weight has been an issue as I feared it might. I'm also checking out the Firestone Destination XTs in the 275 size, they are only 48 lbs and don't look that much less aggressive than my Wildpeaks. I'm going to try the OVTune first to see if that makes any difference.

OV is great, but its not going to overcome all that weight like you think it will.

Oh for sure. Just hoping for a little better ride as I’ve heard only good things about it.

You will certainly like the result of the tune alone. It is a great addition, just keep your expectations reasonable (and then buy gears ;) ).

My lift was completed today. 2.5inch of lift. Had my Wildpeaks 275/70r17’s put on this evening. On Flat road not a lot of rub but any bump at all on a turn and it’s got a bit of rubbing. The wheels are -10 offset. Guessing this is the issue?

Discount Tire said I had 30 days to return or exchange... not sure how much they will honor this.

I see I’ve got a few choices and would love some help.

1- start trimming. I was hoping to avoid this. I don’t mind a little but would like to about major cuts. If I’m having to cut on random road turns. It’s likely to crush me on big off road stuff correct?

2- switch to KO2’s same size. They advertise .2 inch shorter... would this be enough to clear?

3- lastly switch up the tire size or offset of the wheel? Would the wheel offset really help this much? -10 to 0?

    thanks for any help

Are you only rubbing on the front plastic fender liner? If so you can use a heat gun and push the liner back a bit and see if that helps. There are also a few areas you can trim on that plastic if it looks like that’s where you’re rubbing. No one would even notice you’ve done it. I was rubbing in reverse with the 275s and that’s what I did. My wheels are -6 offset.

I’m not sure if switching to the KO2s would have a major difference. The wheel offset is definitely a factor. I’d guess you’d rub less at 0 offset. I’d start with looking at where you’re rubbing and work with the fender liner a bit to see if that helps.
