Lowered 3/4, debadged, led tails, projector headlights with hids, billet grill, blacked out windows, painted front and rear bumper and grill shell. Inside, 4 crappy 15's, suede wrapped headliner and door panel inserts, alpine double din, few painted pieces inside, and every led is either blue or white.

3rd and 4th layers added plus some cut up pieces of rope for added strength

What does the rope do? I know you said it adds extra strength, I'm just wondering the idea behind that I guess. I don't really know anything about fiberglassing but your work looks pretty tight.

ive seen other people use it before and from what i can understand is that it allows for a bigger area to be connected together. with the glass over it the rope will basically become a brace that is formed to the shape you want

Is this going to be somewhat of a "stealthbox," to where you can still utilize the back seats?

this looks like a nightmare. i bet you could build a ported box to the specs of those subs thats about HALF the size of your original design, design it so the subs fire directly into a solid surface like the floor or wall, up the wattage to the subs by ALOT, and it would be about 3-4 times louder than what your fiberglass project box will be.

    i managed to draw 135db @ 33hz out of a single alpine type R 10".

oh really? 3-4 times louder? lol

im not sure where u get that information from but its not true. and thanks for judging before u even see where im going with the box. give it time and it will make sense.

building a box is more involved then just putting the subs facing the floor or whatever, this box is going to be around 10ft^3 after displacement and tuned to 29hz with 159in^2 of port area. idk about building a ported box at 5ft^3 that will be 3-4 times louder LOL

look, its not like i dont know anything about building boxes. like i said; 135db @ 33hz out of a alpine type R 10". it does make a difference where the subs fire. into the floor will give you another 3db (a 3 db increase is percieved as double). each additional sub makes a 3 db increase so take into consideration each one firing into a surface what a difference it would make. building the box to your manufactures spec is always best and changing your port design will help you get the right resident frequency.

all im saying is thats an awful lot of work for the very little amount of room you're getting with your fiberglass project.

    but what do i know?

oh alright, well thats why im rebuilding it

well this box is built to the right specs so idk why u are saying this like im not doing that. and your right, it is a lot of work but for the extra .4^ft3 roughly its worth it when im trying to have the box sit as far back as possible to not loose as much leg room

didnt mean to sound like an ass or make it sound like u dont know what your talking about but just stay tuned, maybe u will like the direction im going better after u see more

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
If I'm seeing that correctly your only getting 12.3v with the truck running. That's pretty low do you have the factory alternator still? I do like the the placement of the volt meter.

yea your seeing it correctly, that was before i adjusted the meter. the truck usually idles around 13.7-14.1
