Changing oil at 5k compared to 10k depends on your driving habits...environment... and ocd..I did mine at 5k I live in the desert.

Great post thank you. It looks like your metal content was even worse than mine at 4K miles! Great to see it wash out over time as expected.

She actually has another thread where she talks about how a dealer sold her truck out for under her after paying the deposit.

She complained and got a $10k free upgrade from a base model to a TRD off road.

    Karma doesn’t exist guys.

How many of you fuckers had your lipid panel in the last year? While the Tacoma get's nothing but premium OEM filters and Costco oil your arteries have been getting a steady diet of low grade bacon and cheese

I changed my oil at 4500 miles and took a sample to send off to Blackstone as well. I did this once a year with my previous vehicle and this time I was just curious what the report would look like on a new engine. I've never owned brand new. It's on its way to them now so I will know soon.
My last vehicle always had great reports showing steady low wear. I changed the oil in it about every 6,000 miles or twice a year with full synthetic oil.
Once all the Yota care on this is used up I probably going to do the same because some of my driving habits put me I under the more severe service recommendations.

Hilarious how many rely on Blackstone to tell them every 5k is fine or if ya follow the owners manual your fine too. Blackstone making the $$$ letting everyone know the Toyota engineers are spot on.

I don't get why people waste the money on oil analysis, unless you're operating something like a D11T where everything is expensive

Well you don't want to stroke out and have some woman middle aged named Janice who describes herself as curvy feed you apple sauce with a spoon as it runs out of your mouth as she's checking her latest Tinder match which happen to be some bean pole dude with a penchant for curvy girls that know how to make ho-made mac and cheese
