I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Okay guys so I've seen the Mag light mod in other places and I didn't really like the locations so I was messing around today and liked this spot so this it where I put it.

    Tools
    FxCam_1286474488306_49921d5375eecb36808c839414043a4eecef1a11.jpg
    Mag light mounts
    Drill
    5/64 drill bit
    Pen/Marker
    Goof off
    paper towel

First off you need to check the location I did this by placing the mounts on the light right off the grip so I can grab it easily. Hold the light agents the door in the location and close it to make sure it doesn't hit anything.

As you can see you don't have much wiggle room I have about 1/8" space between the light and the jam.

Now that you have the placement you want mark it.

With the placement marked place the mount on the door and drill 4 pilot holes.

After drilling the holes take some Goof off and wipe off the marker.

Screw them in place and done!

This is how it looks with the door closed.

It's fits like a glove and it will fit a 2D 3D & 4D mag light this is my 3D but I'm going to put in my Blue 4D led.

Note: I have an Extra cab I don't know if the DC & SC seat placements are the same make sure you check because the mount will hit the seat mount if it's in the wrong spot.

Thread revival.. Did anyone else do this? I'm interested but I also want to be able to remove the door panel in the future. I would assume this is in the way.

I think I'm the only one that's mounted it there.
You can remove the door no problem just remove the screws from the mounts and the door will come off easily.

Nope! the only thing I would of done differently is move it back on the door a few inches. I kick the front of the light with my foot sometimes jumping out of the truck other then that it's perfect.

I went the budget direction and found a free mag-lite mod, it works great, at least if you have the 60/40 split bucket seats. The 3 D cell maglite fits in between the center console and passenger seat perfectly, doesn't rattle or move and doesn't affect how the passenger seat slides, AND it's easy to get to when/if I need it. I'll try to get a picture here later, but if you're strapped for cash and have a maglite, try this for free.

JLee, noticed in one of your pics the Tacoma rubber floor mats. Were these in the Taco when you bought it? Or if you did purchase them, what vendor/website? I have been looking for some, but no luck. Oh yeah, sick truck...love the Dura's.

When I bought the truck the mat were all messed up. so the salesman went out on the lot and pulled them out of another truck. I have no Idea where you could get them now. I'm betting it was a dealer thing back when the truck came out.

Thanks I love the tires they did great off road on the Bear Valley run and I'm making a trip to Utah tomorrow so I'll see how they so in the snow.

Those are the OEM tacoma "all weather" mats. I got a pair off ebay brand new from a toyo dealer.

I mounted my 3D mag to the right of the shifter column.
