I don’t think there are any inside. the only two that I know of are the rear door skirt where it meets the tailgate, and the flange that drops into the bed from the bottom frame. Otherwise, they have all the same components inside

What can you tell me about the flange? Did they eliminate it on 2nd gen?

It’s the Roaming Lost HardKorr kit from GTFO.
Can’t beat the price, but they are pretty cheap feeling. Lighting works good for general viewing help but definitely not for working on stuff in the bed at night.

One more half day of fabricating and I should be ready to paint.

If I had a pipe bender handy I would have used round tube. But angle iron is hands down the bast bank for your buck.

There’s not plans. I’m really just fitting pieces as I go. It’s definitely not the way a professional would have done it.

Nice work. Just curious why your stickers are all backwards on the inside of the hatch. Maybe I need more coffee but that doesn't make sense to me at the moment. Couldn't be a reversed pic.

Edit: I see, when you flip hatch up stickers are above. More coffee.

Not really. There is a bit of black magic wizardness involved, but once you figure out what you are trying to accomplish and look at the cuts needed from a different perspective, you can easily free hand notch with a bandsaw, sawzall, or even a cutoff wheel. You can fine tune with a die grinder if needed, but you can actually get a tight fit up with just 2 straight cuts, 3 if you are cutting the tube to length first on some angles.

Building things out of round tube can get tricky if you are bending the tube and don't have the correct type of bender or die for the tube or even the appropriate die CLR. Compound bends do suck and can get tricky real quick, but a rack like the one being built in this thread looks like it's all single plain 90's.

Did you take off the diffusers to see if it’s brighter for that? Each light should have a diffuser that can be removed. I picked up the same kit as well.

That’s a wrap for the fab. Start painting tomorrow and hopefully wire up everything by the weekend.... and then I’ll be out of excuses and have to get to camping.

Whats the deal with solar panels?
Debating on whether to "glue" one to the SP roof, put one on a rack, or put one hanging below the rack, so the rack could be used (yes whatever is on top of the rack woudl cover the panel).

Wonder if I could get a 100W panel of this size, right before the camper leaves the bed.
Quick approximation below where I coudl maybe place 100W and have the rest of the space for a rack

Someone on this tread maybe it was @gnardoggie convinced me I didn’t need a solar panel.... so I went with whatever he said he was doing but I went with AGM not Lithium iron phosphate for obvious cost saving reasons. But I am solar ready if I change my mind. Would plan for 100w flex panel affixed to the SP lid.

And if you’re not penny pinching the Cascadia hood mounted 80ish watt I think it is panel like rad.... as long as you don’t have a Sport hood scoop.

Yeah, I'm running redarc to a 78ah ( i think) AGM but for something like a baja trip where my truck might sit in the heat for a day, I want solar for my fridge to keep that thing cranked down.
Since I have the redarc, the cost of adding solar is pretty low, just need the placement and panel.
