I can't wait to wash my truck. This weekend is going to be super cold, so I guess it is going to wait until at least another week.

I've seen before the grease/lubricant that was used gets sort of gelled up in the cold. I've had luck with wd40 silicone spray. Got to be something better out there?

He was back to his normal playful self. Guess the meds they gave him worked. All his results came back good. So he must of been constipated or something. Not really sure. I'm just happy hes good now. Scared the shit out of me this weekend

That's the rub. I've had brakes and rotors for 3 weeks. I'm just waiting on hubs as I thought might as well while your in there. My hubs were originally going to be preventative maintenance, but passenger side is really bad. I don't trust it to commute to work.

I took mine through the car wash on the way home from the dealership yesterday - really wanted to get the salt off the frame more than anything.

I'm nervous to use an automatic wash. Some use those brushes and others - the few that are brushless - don't seem as if they may accommodate the truck. My dealer gives a free wash when its's serviced, but that won't be for awhile.

I use one a lot... I like to wet the truck first especially when it’s really dirty.

I spend a couple dollars and get on my hands and knees first in the manual wash bay and then head to the auto wash. Gotta watch though. Can get busy real fast

Another 1.5" of snow and still coming down steady. Hopefully it's still the fluffy powdery stuff but it looks like it's turned into wet snow. Ill find out in a couple minutes when I go outside to shovel. Ugh.

That's exactly how I drive in the snow, slow and steady. The last time we had decent accumulation here I was driving 25-40mph the entire time. Did I piss off some other drivers? Yup? Did I make it to work and home safely? Yup. Normally I drive like a "bat outta Hell" but not in inclimate weather. I still had my second gen access cab then; it was a tank! I used 4wd about 1/2 the trip. But I made sure not to get over-confident, that's where people screw up. I had the Goodyear's that came off 3rd Gen Offroads and they surprisingly did ok. Like you, only one spot it got a little squirrely down the mountain.

I try and do the same thing. It's a total pain in the ass, but works well. The roads have been a complete mess the past couple weeks and I only snuck in a quick touchless wash last week. 3 miles down the road it got salty again. This week is a chance of snow every day so no washing again... Hopefully one winter "uncoated" isn't gonna hurt.

The nearest touchless is probably about 12-14 miles. It is a challenge to get there. But it does have a dryer at the end that removes most of the water, which is good in cold weather like this.

I had to take my truck through the touchless car wash on Sunday, because my girlfriend couldn't handle her liquor Saturday night.
