I have no problem with entertainers voicing their convictions but the workplace is not where it should be done.

Hockey, like baseball, is a sport where the players give back to the community where they grew up. I was a Capitals season ticket holder for 12 years back in the day. Fun, or dismal, fact: the Capitals first road victory was against the California Golden Seals. It was the last game of the Capitals first season.

    Morning

    About 4 or 5” fell.
    Exercised the back up blower.
Raked the roof. Cleared the gen box. I was on fire. Usually takes
    2 1/2 hours. Light stuff.
Had enough spare time to go back in and have a cuppa coffee before I left for work

    Good morning all,

Cold and sunny, the snow packed down due to walking the dogs is getting to be sheer ice - sun melt then freeze. Almost went ass over tea kettle twice this morning - scratching head - where did that saying come from? Will Google it later.

Have a great day everyone - start of the retirement five day weekend :bananadance::bananadance:

    Good morning folks

Another bitter cold day ahead but see warmer days in the future about 6 days out. Watch that ice Mike I fell twice last winter.
Nothing but work on the schedule for today.

    Stay safe!

    Afternoon all:
I was just looking to see what a 1/4 ton Army trailer would roughly sell for, I have one in the garage that we used to put gear in and put deer on top when we went to Maine that I probably don't have a need for anymore. Prices are all over the place on them for some reason, but it looks like they are selling for a minimum of $1,200, I didn't think they would be worth that and even double that and more in some instances.

A little something every chance we get.
Evening Porch Folks One and All! Boy Howdy, if the weather reports hold true, anyone North of me is in for a deep freeze by this weekend! You stay warm, safe, and happy, OK?

When is a FREE service visit less than satisfying? When there is no one to answer a question about the vehicle you bought from them, especially when it revolves around the "tech" Toyota puts into it? New ownership has me less than impressed.... But HEY, I haven't got a email survey yet.
Took the new RAV4 Hybrid Limited in today (finally) for a 5K service - it's only been 4K, but that's how it goes. They did the stuff OK. But I had some questions....they didn't do so well with...

Vehicle doesn't have a "recall", just an "informative update" about gas gauge not filling up properly, so miles to empty doesn't reflect "properly". I'm getting low 30's on a car that should get 40. Can you tell me if this is an issue with the whole system? "It's not on recall at this time. You should buy better gas, and change your driving habits." Sir - I have had 5 Prius, 3 Tacomas, and another Hybrid. I can work my foot.

My Premium Audio doesn't seem to want to find our Wi Fi anymore. Now I did NOT buy the Mobile AT&T hot spot, but it used to get the Wi Fi when parked in the drive. "I don't know".

OK, let's try the map updates. It was new when I got it, and it's been a year SO.... manual says push this, push that, and UPDATE. Get a message to contact dealer, so no update. Service Adviser "tech says it needs a card, but there isn't one available, you need to talk to Parts." Parts guy when asked if it is an SD card (where there is no place to put one) "I don't know, but they update in November, and we didn't get any last year". Did you get SC cards, swipe cards, dealer only install? "We didn't get any, so I don't know."

I would have fired everyone I dealt with today for criminal stupidity. I've done a lot of things, including QC Management. I guess I will attempt to go online or phone with Toyota itself when it gets cold. I need to take Tacoma in tomorrow for oil, maybe coolant exchange (it's time).

Had to blow the leaves off the shade cloth, since they were all wet and the cloth was sagging. Was afraid it would rip if we did manage to get any snow.

Hey Boats, Prices depend on condition, originality, and of course, the market. If an original WWII Bantam, you got a collectable, but not very useful due to size and short tongue.

I’m not sure what the final low will be but the predicted was -17. Had the heat on high all the way home from work. Remote start was golden tonight.

Wow, Will!!! I'll take the balmy +22 here any day over that.

Morning, everyone. My trip to have the truck serviced yesterday was uneventful - annual service and they did the ECU TSB. About a 2 hour drive each way so it's nice to spend some time in the cab of the truck.

Snowing here - 1 to 3" predicted again. We have a bunch of days over the next 10 with light snow predicted. More nuisance than anything.

    Stay safe!

6mo. dermatologist checkup yesterday, touched up a few spots where I had shingles, but overall a good checkup. Snowing like hell again. Started last night, 7"+ so far, still coming down, blowing, drifting. I knew it was coming, filled up the porch glider w/firewood yesterday. We have to plan grocery pickups and whatnot, around the weather, this time of the year. At least we still have internet, a heater on the dish works, as long as it's not overwhelmed. I'll be upgrading that system this spring, to handle noreasters. Parts arrived a few days ago. Starlink says maybe mid-summer.

Wifey doesn't like me climbing around on the roof.. I have a permanent-ish 24' ladder against the house, strapped down all year long. I'm at ease on a 6/12 roof, and careful. Summer in the woods it's once a week with a leaf blower, attacking gutters, downspouts, twigs, small limbs. I never run out of kindling. All the gutter guards I've seen get over-washed with rain.. I don't want all that water down around my foundation, so I tiled the downspouts away from the house.

    Never has offered shingles vaccination.
    Why?
    Still no covid timeline.
Shop decisions more stupid than ever.
    Very light snow.
2 to 4 end of the day.

Mike, you should be able to get the Shingles vaccine from your local drug store - got ours from our Rite-Aid. No?

Good Morning folks. My SIL and our friend are leaving today. Good day for me but they will be heading North so not so good for them :(. They are stopping off in St. Augustine for the night and visiting a friend in Hilton Head before heading to Richmond VA. My SIL then has 5 hours more to get home in Doylestown PA. Hope the weather holds out for them.
Getting rain everyday for the next week. Fortunately it isn't an all day rain and the sun comes out some. I wish I could send some heat up your way, but it will have to wait until spring:thumbsup:.
Have a safe and be careful day folks.

    Good morning All,

Will, my bones hurt just looking at that temp. Stay warm and safe.

Blow torch day for dog bombs in the snow/ice. High winds all night, crazy and hard to sleep at times. The dogs were uncomfortable it as well.

Going to need a nap today - just sayin...

Have a good and safe day everyone.
