29er will roll over shit better. But a 27.5 is usually more playful

    Great Purple Jeebus, I'm old.

Last time I turned wrenches at a bike shop, you had the option of either running 26x2.5, 700x25, or walking on foot. That was it. I still have my old full suspension racer that had a so-revolutionary-it-was-unheard-of 9 speed rear cassette and tubeless tire design. The newfangled disc brakes were a game changer. They actually used real DOT brake fluid. It was a feat worthy of mythologic legend if you could bleed that system without trashing the paint job. My bike is 21 years old now, aquired as an employee purchase from my summer college gig . Feels kinda weird that it's one of my oldest possessions, aside from the shit that I inherited from my grandfather.

Oval rings keep coming back like they're a new innovation. They're not new. BioPace was a thing in the mid 90's.

The 12 speed cassettes on the other hand, shit. 9 speed chains are a pain in the ass to do emergency field repairs. I can't imagine 12.

Yep. Mine turned 11 this year and while it still performs awesome, it's ancient in MTB tech terms. 26-er full sus with mechanical discs. I even have a spring fork still (albeit just because ive been too lazy to install the fox float I have for it.)

I should really dig my Specialized out. Once I realized there aren't really any hills in Texas, I basically parked and forgot about it.

Recently acquired some of the new diode dynamics ss3 pods and trying to get them intoy bumper but they sit too tall with their provided brackets. Any found a bracket or another option that works with these lights to fit into the cube cut outs on aftermarket bumpers? I've got the brute force fab bumper.

These look like they have two holes for mounting:

But it's also possible you'd need to drill your own to get them exactly where you want.
