I pulled the service work up on my truck. I bought it from independent used dealer, but previous owner had the battery replaced in 2018.

    Mine is a 16.

Mine is out of factory warranty, and I'm betting the "new" battery probably not gonna last too much longer. In which case, I'll invest in a good battery from Autozone.

I need some recommendations, I blacked out the chrome trim around the ac vents and push to start but the 4x4 knob chrome seems like a bear to take apart the assembly of the knob. Does anyone have any recommendations for a sticker or other way to delete that chrome. I have seen a few stickers on some forums but I wasn't sure how they looked as a finished product

20210208_153403.jpg 1 year old with $11K in upgrades and this happens. Destroyed rear sonar system. TRD exhaust is jacked up, my airbag, seat belt, and maintenance lights are are all lit up on dash. My steering wheel is rubbing. Pretty sure bed is bent cause bet mat not sitting flat now

Got rear ended on freeway yesterday morning during rush hour while I was at a dead stop. Mini Cooper that hit me was thrashed and damn near caught on fire.

Anyone know if insurance will cover things like the TRD exhaust I out on if the truck is fixable or will they just slap stock back on?

It's really pretty easy to swap the 4X4 button. I've done it twice on mine....and I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy.

I have seen vinyl overlays somewhere - can't seem to find them. I checked Taco Vinyl's page and didn't find one.

Bit of a long post, but I've done a couple of upgrades and been negligent with updates and pictures. In addition to this being my only vehicle now, I also operate a pesticide application business out of the back. I've been reworking my setup over the winter and I've kind of got a lot to brag about, in order below:

    1) Cheap yoga mat velcro'd to the plastic part of the back seats. Makes for an excellent no-slip surface for groceries, tools, etc.

    2) ARE CX HD cap. The extra supports inside take up a fair amount of space, but I also got the roof rack tracks and like the idea of being able to support more weight on the roof.

    3) Docloco rear MOLLE panel. This thing is just awesome. When I took the seats out to install this, I Noico wrapped everything I could get my hands on with 80mil sound deadening material, and 150 cell closed foam on top of that. Also wrapped the outside of the plastic toolbox under the seats. Result? I can't really run the heat for long periods of time, I got snuck up on by an ambulance with sirens on (kicker 6 upgrade and I had it up too loud), and people get in my truck and don't believe there isn't a subwoofer. It works hilariously well.

You can see in pictures below, I've got it pretty packed out and still a healthy amount of space. Space holds plenty of MOLLE dump pouches for tools, I've got an M12 battery holder installed next to the compressor, there's a water bottle MOLLE pouch holding a bunch of hand tools, and plenty of plastic cases holding sockets, bits, wrenches, etc. The condor pouch has a heavy duty tire plug kit in it. This is about everything I need back there so far, and I'm in awe at home much space I still have to use.

    4) Victory 4x4 bed stiffeners. These were definitely worth the money, especially with the cap and its extra roof supports. Immediately noticed a handling difference. I also really needed more tie down points in the back, so I killed birds with stones on this one.

    5) Roadmaster Active Suspension Kit. I got talked into this as an alternative to Firestone air bags and onboard compressor, and I am so happy with these! If you're reading this and you're on the fence at all, just go get them, please believe me. Favorite upgrade to the truck by far. My truck no longer rakes with the cap installed, and no longer sags with 700+ pounds of water and mosquito gear in the back! The ride is just better, both empty and loaded. Incredibly happy with RAS

Hopefully you kept the receipts for all the upgrades. That should be proof of what got damaged and should be replaced with the same.

I was a bit skeptical when I purchased the RMAS kit(was not cheap) but am also happy with my purchase. When empty the truck ride is slightly stiffer but stability is greatly improved because of the enhancement. They really shine when I'm towing my pop-up camper loaded for a week of vacation in the Kawarthas(Central Ontario). Also, if my tow weight increases due to the purchase of a larger camper then I can always adjust the RMAS system to compensate.

    Sorry Bro,

My Cement got rear ended yesterday as well.
I know my body shop quoted the tailgate letters as part of the body shop est. So hopefully they will cover it all if you have the receipts.

Installed these guys last night. Pretty easy installation, and actually look nice when turned on, at a decent price too.

Took a couple of videos, but can't figure out how to upload them. Posted a link to them below. The video on the site is pretty accurate though.
Edited to state that the blinkers were very well packaged and included a philips screwdriver and a pry tool in the box. I had actually ordered the pry tool separate not realizing they were included.

A GEICO adjuster told me you need to get a supplement to cover any addons and upgrades but if it's a genuine Toyota upgrade you might be able to get away without it.
