Yeah. Skinny pieces tend to go first. Most of my strips came out pretty uniform. It was the last tray that I was shooting out that got kind of skinny on me. Oh well. Not a big deal. Dog treats lol. We got a new puppy who doesn't like stairs. We've tried but she just wont go up or down stairs. We have to carry her. Anyway The dehydrator was downstairs. I woke up this morning to shut it off and try a piece. Still needed to get dressed (use your imagination) so I run upstairs. 2 dog sitting at the top waiting for me as usual. One already knows what home made jerky smells like and he get excited. To make a long story short I gave the pup some jerky and she got real excited. 2/3 dogs are in the backyard and the puppy is inside with me. I get dressed and head back downstairs and am putting jerky in some bags for now until I can vac seal it tonight. I start hearing dog foot steps coming down the stairs. I think the kids have let the boys inside or something. Nope it was out new puppy. Just had to come down and follow her nose to the jerky lol. We've been trying to get her to use the stairs for a week now. She wouldn't budge. I swear the key to having dogs listen to you is to throw a stick of jerky in your pocket.

If it had been near my parents house where I hunt, I would have helped it out.

Cole shot this December 17th (he’s 8), his third deer and biggest one he’s ever seen. We dropped it off at the taxidermist for a shoulder mount December 19th. Man just called and said it’s ready. Cole is going to be off the chain :goingcrazy:

He and I will go get it later today, he said he wants to hang it in our store so people can see it. I’ll give him about a month and it’ll be in his room.

My wife has decided she wants a "mountain" theme for our little one's nursery. I told her my 2020 elk mount is going directly above the crib... because elk live in the mountains.

I'll keep all informed on how this plays out before the May due date.

Do a great job securing it to the wall, if it gored your newborn that would be tragic and ironic.
