I love this- didn't know it existed. Of course I do have the hood scoop, so I can't use it. WOMP WOMP.

I’ve got a 100watt panel sitting around. I can test fit and post photos once I get home from my trip on Monday/Tuesday. If I put it on the roof it’ll just be with VHB tape-super easy.

also dometic fridge ftw. Best truck mod I’ve done! The key is the keep it full for efficiency - even if you have to toss some bottles of water (frozen is best) to fill up space.

The weatherman in Portland are never correct when it comes to snow. I don’t think we will have snow at all. I won’t believe it til I see it

Well see. It's a pretty heavy front based on what I've seen at Meadows and Hood River.

It looks close, but the SP X-1 looks similar (or a little taller) than my Vagabond Drifter and I still fit in garaged with a 1" lift and 32" tires...

This has been my main concern since I put my deposit down. The max garage height is 6'9" and my truck with previous canopy/rack was about 1" below but only where i had lights mounted (not at the entire roofline). I've got the voodoo bedrails that I'm bringing to SP which will get me .5-.6" and will go down to 32" from my 33" if needed (another .5"). If I'm not within 1" of wiggle room I can't do simple math and need to go back to 10th grade.

It's going to be damn close, but so far my math says it will fit....eek.

FYI the road in Big Sur is closed well north of the Nacimiento-Ferguson Rd., so you could drive over to the coast from the 101, camp at the top along the South Coast Ridge Rd. and maybe out to Plaskett Ridge. Great views. Free. Maybe you'll be tired of winding roads by then but the Nacimiento-Ferguson Rd. is a nice ramble this time of year.

This raises a question I’ve had for a while. I have a 96 regular cab with a V6. I got this because I love the short wheelbase. I like to run as stock as possible, but this discussion makes me wonder of I should do this upgrade. The question is: what do you think are the bare minimum upgrades to add to a 1st Gen? Thanks in advance.
