Glad you're more-or-less okay, @Rj42. Absolutely awful situation, hang in there.

    I couldn't agree more.

    My man gets it.

I've read several instances about that. I'm getting it from retail, so I don't think it will be counterfeit. Spent a few looking for legit cards yesterday.

Man im sorry for the truck and glad you are mostly OK. That was blatant failure on the other drivers part. Lawyer up and get what you deserve.

Just like a today’s person, totally blew it, not paying attention at all, then says it’s not her fault. Completely unable to take responsibility for their actions.

Ripped the front end off and removed enough engine parts the valves were showing!

Back in October 2015, a drunk driver ran stop sign and hit my truck, then managed to convince his insurance company that I was the one who ran a stop sign even though he’s previously killed somebody while driving drunk and managed to get a second DUI this time around...

I used some of his court-ordered restitution money to buy my first dashcam!

We were at a three-way stop; I was making a left and he was on my left going straight...

    $2,200 in damage!

    I’m glad I had one.
Wasn’t needed he admitted he slid thru.
Dash cam shows he didn’t even slow down.
I could have used if he tried to fight.

    So. Many. Stickers.
When my SR5 was destroyed I thought the police report stating that the driver was texting and driving and T-Boned My bright orange truck would be enough.

apparently police reports don't mean Jack when it comes to insurance and courts. Lawyer up and sue this lady for everything she owns. Sue her dead grandma. Make sure she never drives again.

I have zero patience for people who don't take driving seriously.

Glad you're alive to tell the tale, OP.

Exactly what happened with the drunk 70-year old man who hit me in 2015...

Nevermind that he’d KILLED somebody while driving drunk in the 1980s and got a second DUI after hitting my truck...

NOPE; His insurance company (Foremost, a subsidiary of Zurich) didn’t give a shit what he did because he said I’d run a stop sign and they believed him. My insurance company (USAA) paid out to fix my truck in December 2015 after his insurance company refused to; They waived the deductible, didn’t raise my rates, and took his insurance company to court. They couldn’t agree on who was at fault (though it was pretty M-effin’ obvious who was), so they reached a “draw”; My insurance company determined it was more cost effective to eat the cost of fixing my truck than to take the other insurance company to court.

When I got out of my truck and saw that damage, and then he accused me of running the stop sign, I do believe that’s the first time in my adult life that I legitimately wanted to beat someone to death.

This right here. Clean that b**** out (or her insurance) for trying to lie about it. That was a bad hit but the lying part is what gets me.

What was the argument? The dumb bitch ran a red light! Seems pretty cut and dry to me, dashcam or no dashcam; Though I still prefer to have a dashcam...
