I had them swap out the silly factory tires at the dealership for Dura Trac's, same size so that was an additional $800.00

If you don't mind me asking, did your build happen on the original date that your dealer said it would? My build is scheduled for tomorrow. Holding my breath that it actually happens. It's been a long process!
    Thanks..

I always use a car buying service to get the best deal on a new vehicle and the best is https://www.checkbook.org/auto/. If you to like negotiate using mail or fax then chat with James Bragg at https://fightingchance.com. He gives you the scoop on the car buying services like Costco, and others. He does highly recommend the car buying service I listed.

I have used Carbargains three times and it's a smooth car buying experience. You will have 5 dealers competing for your business and that gives you lots of leverage. Carbargains emails you the dealers bids for the car you are looking to buy. I have purchased all my vehicles under invoice here in Southern California. The other method is doing it yourself and using the information provided by James Bragg at his website here https://fightingchance.com.

my buddy did that (used a broker) back in 07 when he bought his second gen, ours were equipped the same, but he paid about a grand more (plus the broker fee), than I did and then had to wait a few weeks to get the truck from another dealer.

Yeah, for me, I would probably be able to do better but I have friends that can’t/won’t be bothered to deal with the process. This is probably the way to go for them.

It's a car buying service for new cars and leasing new vehicles not for used vehicles.

    FYI...
2 Tacomas arrived today at Toyota of Puyallup Washington.
Gray Tacoma SR5 Double Cab Long Bed 4x4. One has All weather floor and Door sill protectors..
The other has the same plus Nav.

The Costco price is only for SR or SR5 models at this dealership. If you want to be $1000 under invoice!!!! Yes they will honor Costco price....them add the $1000 Toyota Rebate....PM me for the price.

Good deals are at 8% off MSRP
Great deals are above 10% off MSRP

    This is a GREAT deal!!!
I have the Costco price sheet as well.

First Tacoma purchase so hopefully doing it right. Having to build what I want. Talked to multiple dealerships near and far. Best option I got is 3+ hrs away.

2021 TRD Sport 4x2 double cab in voodoo blue
    Cloth interior
Technology package w/parking sonar and blind spot monitor.
No additional accessories, planned on adding those as I go. Bed mat, bed lights, etc.

    $34241 before fees and taxes.
    $35214 out the door.

If that's the truck you want it's a decent deal. I recommend looking at some threads on 4x4 vs 4x2. General consensus is it is better to have 4wd and not need it than not have it and need it. Speaking from experience, I have had a 2wd 2004 Ranger Edge for 14 years, and though I never got stuck, I can assure you it is horrible with any situation where traction is low. However, with some weight in the bed you will be fine, but I recommend thinking it through. Either way you're going to love your truck from what I read on here.

Using it in my everyday life it would only really be seeing city and highway conditions. It snows maybe once a year so I would only need to worry about rain. Been driving a 2006 scion tc for over 10 years and haven't had any problems. So not sure if I'll ever need 4wd. I know resale will be nice but it also comes with more moving parts and a higher price tag.
