What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Big fan of these, almost had a nice used set on CL but they were for an AC. They're aluminum & plastic right?

 

This is similar to something I did about a year ago. Anytime the seats were folded down, anything stored behind them would be exposed and fall out when braking. Also not good when you have a dog back there with the seat down.

I covered my seats with Clazzio a few years ago and never liked the fact that the hard rear seat backs were covered. So I removed the hard seat back and moved it outside the seat cover. Required a couple slits in the clazzios but then I was able to just attach it over the seat cover. Also did not like that my tools and storage items behind the seats were exposed when the seats were down. Items would fall out of the storage area when braking. So I made some secondary hatches to keep closed when the seats were folded down. Still need to cover them with black bunk board carpet. Tried just using stick on velcro to keep them closed. Velcro was stronger than the sticky side so that didn't work. Switched to magnets.

Magnets from home depot did not work because the magnetic disc had to be glued to the hatch and the hot melt glue did not hold. Magnets stronger than glue. So I ordered magnetic discs with a hold in the middle so they can be screwed to the hatch door. That worked much better.

 

ACLB and DCSB are the same. Yes, aluminum and plastic. My bro in law picked up a mint set off a 3rd gen for less than $70. They're the best looking option as steps are concerned imo.

Yeah I hate most steps except for a select few. Well crap I wish I would've known that.. they were under $100 but since have been sold.

 

Took off the XSPX Skid plate. Now I need to figure out if I should get a different one...... what's a good match for a Pelfreybilt aluminum bumper??

I'm suuuuper lazy and I like the convenience of it just being there. Otherwise I have to dick with bluetooth and dick with an app and go through all these steps. I'll do that once in a while for podcasts but regularly that's a no from me dawg.
