I know you can drive those trails most of the year, but Im guessing they wont let you play on them at all during KOTH?

I got the Outland Living Premium fire pit off Amazon for $133 shipped. It's about $20 (+tax) less than picking up at Cabela's, which does have them in stock, but they don't specify WHICH version they have...
    https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/outland-living-fire-bowl
    https://outlandliving.com/products/premium-fire-pit

The rocks do create dust/silt when getting jostled around off road, so I recommend putting it in a contractor bag or buy the Outland Living one (the other ones on Amazon are all cheap, thin material that will wear through immediately).

The penalty, @305_TRDpro , is to trade me all of your Inferno body panels/mirrors/bumpers (if you're a DCSB).

The propane bottles SUCK ASS in the cold though leaving you wishing you had a real fire.

I had issues trying to use my stove in Ouray back in 2017... it was acting like liquid fuel was getting into the line an was sputtering fireballs out of the stove while trying to use it...

I know better now how to mitigate these issues. (Reflectix jacket, don't set directly on the ground, keep in the truck bed while driving so it's warmer to start with...) Worst case, I can boil some water and pour it over the tank to warm it back up if it chills too much and doesn't have enough pressure left inside to put out non-liquid gas.

I will have to try some of those ideas. Last weekend sucked ass not having a real fire because we assumed that 3 bottles of propane would be sufficient for a night.

I was hoping to find an Inferno truck, but I ended up with a MGM. It's not worth doing a full cab/bed sides/bumper/hood/fenders/bumper swap on a functional truck.

I've stuck with white gas stoves just because I hate getting propane stoves going in cold weather.

I may consider this down the road after seeing how much propane I go through next week in the low 20's at night for 3 nights at campsites. The 31 pound may be perfect to run the grill and the fire pit for longer trips and then I can just take the 5# for quick weekends.

There's designated prerunning days where everything is open. They basically let you run wherever you want as long as you stay off the course on race days and off the qualifying course on qualifying days. Between king of the motos, UTVs, EMC, and unlimited class, the week of the races is pretty much shot. We were able to go prerun cougar buttes and a couple of the rock trails, but being that I was running around with wrenches in my hand I didn't get too many opportunities to go drive the trails myself. Unfortunately I couldn't take more than a week off of work, so my time out there was limited to focusing on the race. I'd love to get my truck out there again to go run those trails

They're the old school Coleman stoves. As I understand it, white gas is just gasoline without any additives. I have the green 2 burner and I bought one of the single burner stoves for making coffee in the morning.

    https://www.coleman.com/camp-kitche...ries-powerhouse-414-stove/COL_3000003655.html

    https://www.coleman.com/camp-kitche...s-compact-dual-fuel-stove/COL_3000003654.html

There is an adapter for the two burner so you can use propane too.

The nice thing is that they can run regular unleaded. I tested it out with the ethanol free from Murphys and it works just as good.

White gas is more wind resistant. The only experience I have with it is for my MSR pocket rocket (don't mind the name). It heated up coffee all hunting season with ~40mph sustained winds. Coffee didn't do shit to warm me up most days tho :p

Edit / Correction: I have the WhisperLite burner. The Pocket Rocket is similar to a Jetboil.
