My bike has remained parked now for going on 2 weeks due to the crap on the roads in my area. We got close to 12 inches of snow and they just dumped salt and cinders everywhere. That brine they put down to prevent icing is hard on the bike too. On my 2007 the relay arm for the rear suspension was completely toast when I serviced the bearings. I bought another relay arm on Fleabay with bearings to replace it because there were no needle bearing left it was all dust form that crap.

Where are you located in PA? I'm pretty much dead center between York and Harrisburg right off of I-83. Sounds like a plan later this Spring.

You're not far from Revzilla store. Next time I ride down that way I'll have to hit you up. Glad I live close but not too close to them.....

Sounds good - yeah their store is nice, it's about 30mins from me. I haven't been in a few years but convenient being able to try stuff on before you buy.

Old trick for wet primaries. Find a block of wood that fits under the jiffy stand and holds the bike at 85 degrees or so. That way you can remove the Derby Cover without leaking for oil service or adjusting your clutch rod. Paint the block so it doesn’t get tossed in the trash.

It's yours if you really want it...as much as I love the SV I haven't ridden it much and will probably list for sale officially once I get another bike

Yo @fatfurious2 did you ever do a battery swap on your 48? I swapped mine Sunday but for the life of me, I can't get it back into the frame. Any pointers? I've always had old 70s Japanese bikes and batteries were an easy deal.

I never did, and have now traded in the bike. I remember it being a PITA when I had my 08 Nightster. I think you might be able to massage it from the right side too? Might have to take the oil cover off. I think its the orientation of the negative terminal cable..
