I was just driving today and came up to a left turn with a green arrow. Three cars ahead of me the light turns yellow so I decide to not go and when I get to the line, traffic begins my way. The guy behind me though can't stop and slides into the back of me. The only damage I can see is that my rear bumper may be slightly budged over and a scuff on the chrome. The Suzuki Forenza however will need a new grill, hood, and bumper.

First, props to a stout stock bumper that can a hit that can damage the Forenza so bad. Second, I spoke with my insurance and I will take it to the dealer to check everything. Is there anything specific that I should look for? Like I said, the rear bumper MAY be shifted but really isn't noticeable. Just want to make sure I get everything taken care of.

Hahaha! I don't want to try and take him to the cleaners, but I was wondering if there is anything to be cognizant of other than the aesthetic damage.

You thinks that's bad? How about going down a slight grade the length of 3 football fields with a tractor trailer up your ass only to have him lock up the brakes at the last minute jack knifing the trailer into a guardrail all while your sitting at the stoplight watching in your passenger side mirror. Bricks. Were. Shat.

make sure the bedsides, welds, ect are in tact and there's no 'pushed' damage. Also, you got really lucky as our bumpers are aluminum cans that rip apart by looking at them... you must have got hit just right.

Same thing happened to me. Bumper is weak but the hitch really slows things down!

I will be customizing a beefy bumper soon. Some one backed into me this summer when I was parked somewhere and left a nice dent in the weak-ass chrome bumper !
