New to me. 2019 SR 4x4 12k miles. Did the intermittent to variable speed wiper stalk. Got lucky $50 on Ebay looks brand new. Installed this hard tri-fold couple days ago. $500 fits with and without deck rails. Comes with the hardware. Threaded blocks that slide inside the deck rail. Then bolt the hold downs(6). Didn't want vinyl covered. Guy at work has a 6 month old truck with factory cover. Vinyl looks weathered already.
Watch his video of this tri-fold: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CBFL8LN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 3yr warranty

I had a Tercel too. I traded it for a Samuri. Also have the AGM on solar, compressor with air tank and fixed quick disconnects out each side. (Look like a service truck). I just don't want to see anymore family's stranded. It was heart breaking sometimes. I had kids too and to see other kids burning up in the 100* heat or freezing in the cold was devastating. (I worked the I95 corridor, and the snow belt from Missouri to Ohio) All because the Men made the silly decisions that put the family at risk. Sorry for the emotion lol. I retired mostly because of it.

Just wanted to follow up with everyone. First thank you all for tips on what to look/ask for from garage after rear collision. Happily it seems that the tow hitch drove the energy of the rear collision at a downward angle rather than horizontally to the frame...so per dealer/garage it’s just a tow hitch/bumper assembly , tailgate replacement and all the rear (alignment, drivetrain, bed position) is confirmed not damaged. Considering this was a 25-30mph rear end collision that seems to speak well to the Toyota bumper design.

Took the truck to the dealer with a post it note of information regarding the TSB for the ECU on pre '21 trucks. Guy behind the desk looked at it and goes "Sure yeah looks good to me, might take a couple hours but we'll git r dun." Hour and a half later he comes back and says I'm all good, truck might need 15 miles to learn the new program. Instantly pulling out of the dealer the truck felt like it lifted up off the ground with the smallest throttle input, revved up to 2700rpm and shifted. FINALLY. Second gear up to 3000rpm and then shifted without me having to mess with my throttle input. THANK THE LORD.

This 04B33 ECU update is the bees knees.

We had punch cards up until about 8 years ago at the dealership I worked at... punch in on a job, punch out, punch in, punch out. They switched it all to computer and biometric finger prints... that shit dont work for mechanics who's finger prints change every other day with cuts, perma-dirt and burns.

First, very sorry this happened to both of you. I got clipped recently and they took out the rear tail light and the corner of the bumper. It was more of a hassle than anything else. Business carries a high deductible so some of the replacement was out of pocket.

Obviously follow all the processes of your insurance company. We all know that.

But if you are interested in getting a new bumper research it now and get it ordered. I waited too long. The guys who did my repair (they did a great job) would have been happy to replace the bumper but I couldn't get it there in time and they can't let the truck leave the shop unfinished. Had I been able to do that I could have saved myself and the insurance company money because the replacement bumper was much more expensive than all the OEM replacement bumper parts.

So ... if you do want to upgrade the bumper ... jump on it. Just a thought.

It looks so good, thanks for getting back to me with so much detail. I have two of MESOs overhead panel pieces. One is a three switch which I plan to use on the overhead panel the other is a double for a custom install I have coming up for the channel. Its looking like I might have to cut the double down to a single. Not my first choice but I'm running out of options. I can't find a single switch panel for a Toyota style small OEM switch. The only ones I have been able to locate are for single rocker switches.

Thanks again, I think you did an amazing job.

I was a bit skeptical when I purchased the RMAS kit(was not cheap) but am also happy with my purchase. When empty the truck ride is slightly stiffer but stability is greatly improved because of the enhancement. They really shine when I'm towing my pop-up camper loaded for a week of vacation in the Kawarthas(Central Ontario). Also, if my tow weight increases due to the purchase of a larger camper then I can always adjust the RMAS system to compensate.

    [/QUOTE]
I just went ahead and loaded mine out at 40% load. The ground isn't level in the picture but it does feel like the truck is A) sitting up a little higher; B) nosing down just a little bit. I honestly prefer it this way, because once it gets hot I'll be loaded down (and hopefully leveled out) pretty regularly. Now that I'm not constantly raked I also felt comfortable upgrading my headlights (Philips H9 lowbeams and highbeams) knowing I wouldn't be blinding people
