I have searched around online and on the forum and see where a few people have added USB-A ports and such, but i would like to add USB-C since I have already converted over everything I own.

Anyone know of any that area available as snap in plates to our trucks? (I have a 2021 if that matters/helps).

Hmm .. keystone sounds reasonable. Was hoping to do two USB-C per switch though.

Considering the specific nature of this request, any decent Google search is going to point here. That said, I have searched with Google and on here, and not finding anything useful made this post.

Google found lots of plugs and connectors but nothing particularly specific to mounting on our dash using the existing switch plugs.

You can mount there, you will have to drill / file the hole a bit larger to fit

I used the existing lighter port. I took my Dremel with sanding wheel and slightly enlarged the hole of the original lighter insert. I split the connector for the original lighter and plugged it straight into the new USB device.

Looks great. thanks for the pic. I'm hoping to find one to replace the USB that controls the stereo as well. I never use the AUX and would love it if it was a USB C that would interface with the stereo.

Has anyone charged a laptop using these? I’ve seen people saying they charge your phone fine but not the laptop. I want to put one in my RV.

To keep things flush and nice looking, instead having something like you listed sticking out. And the replacement 12v dual usb socket will have a cover and volt meter built in which is nice as well.

You're going to need to find a high capacity unit to charge a laptop. I think my Dell requires 65w so I assume other laptops have similar charging requirements. If you're getting a $15 Amazon charging unit it will almost certainly fail to charge your laptop.
