I have been shopping for a set of bed rails to run a Thule short cargo box on top of when needed.....I was looking at the KB Voodoo, earlier generation, that they no longer carry. Can anyone suggest other options for rails that meet the following criteria? Please and thank you!

    1. are less than 4" wide (each rail)
    2. sit flush or mostly flush with the side bed rails.. (I don't want added height)
    3. mount to existing inside bed rail sliders..
    4. minimalist ideally

..and sorry for reposting, if anyone can direct me to previous threads that I am sure exist, but I am a dumbshit and can't use search properly on this foruM!

    Thanks!

I've got the C4 Low Pro Bars and I think they fit the criteria you listed...

I made my own, l liked the idea of them not sitting higher than the bedrails.

@Tacospike I dig these and the price point! Are they pretty solid?

All the custom fab'd ones are badass too. I'm currently not able to access a welder otherwise I'd make em. Thank you all for the help and pics!

@jeremy5000 - that is a solid way to secure the bikes...I dig the shit out of that being a cyclist myself....How convenient is it to get bikes on and off? and couldn't a person still just un fasten your hardware to steal? Or is there something more going on with the security that I can't see from the pics... super cool though.

I have some more pics and info here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/a-new-way-to-lock-your-bikes-in-your-bed.616533/ . I used tamper resistant bolts that require a special tool to take off. It takes me just as long to put the bar on/take it off as it takes my wife to pull her helmet out of the back, put her phone away, and/or snapchat something. It definitely could be defeated if someone were determined enough, but I think it works well for some sort of added security when I ride and want to stop at a brewery, restaurant, etc.

Yeah, it's is really solid. It is a good price, but they are really heavy so shipping is what will get you. I only needed one but I think shipping was the same if you order more. They only come unpainted so you will need to paint. Might have changed since I ordered mine in 2019 and only came unpainted.

I used stainless tamper proof bolts, no issues of anyone trying to steal them. I usually mount my bike rack up on the bars too, it's not hard to put the bike up and down.

Anytime. Get your self some caps for the end of the bars too. I sprayed the insides of the bars with fluid film, then capped them with these.
