Here's my chihuahua Taco. Yes, his name is really Taco, but I didn't name him. :) The previous owner named him Taco, but couldn't take care of him anymore.

when i first picked up Bosco i was heart broken, he was about 10-15 lbs. under weight. never had been brushed or groomed, left full time in a tiny enclosure that was all concrete and cinder block. he was in a new track home development so there was really no backyard. his poo was never picked up so there were tons of flies of which were eating his ears. his ears are still scarred from that. he was never socialized with humans or other dogs. he's come a long with his rehabilatation and i couldn't be happier. i think overall Bosco has improved 1000% from the time i got him. oh, he didn't even know what play time was, had to teach him. lol, i even had to teach how to left his leg to pee like a real man dog.

Jari passed away a year ago from old age.

Wow, what a nasty situation! Good for you for saving him from that. I'll never understand how people can do that; I mean, why get the dog in the first place?!

I'm sorry about Jari. :( I thought maybe he was still in the military.

Seems like a good spot for some prayers and good energy for a certain Collie.

I have been looking at a Collie from my local (ish) rescue named Cyrano since even before Eddie died--he was in a terrible state when he was first brought in--malnourished and miserable, but he has gained weight and his hair is growing back in gradually now. The thing is, he has heartworm. And in his weakened state, the treatment is more dangerous than usual. If anyone could offer up a prayer for his safe recovery, I would appreciate it. He has had one treatment, and in four weeks will have another 2 shots, and four weeks after that he should be out of most of the danger, but he will be in some danger for at least that long if not longer (2 months or more at least). Thanks in advance guys--I appreciate it! You don't have to post that you will, just that you do is enough. Extra prayers never hurt!
