What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Guess I was getting a pretty decent wage back in the 80’s then. Then again living in a California coastal community is not cheap!

Aftermarket should be covered. I have GEICO and was in an accident last year and they covered all my accessories (light bar, hood struts, etc.). I was not asked to and did not provide receipts; there is no need to prove something they can see even if you bought it used and someone else put them on.

 

Threw on a skid plate.

 

Put gas in it.

 

thanks, i'm not wanting to do this mod, unless there's a simple plug and play option. i think it's a great idea though.

Something I want to do but haven't yet : volt meter replacing Cig lighter or Usb's. Anyone have in depth install thread on one or a YouTube video? I'm not super experienced with modification stuff but if I have something to go off 9/10 times I can figure it out. Or if your phoenix area and wanna help/teach me a thing or two

 

Minor mod but found a bunch of paint to match moldings on Amazon. Company is vfskinz and they are actually high quality.After I install them all it gives the interior a nice pop.

I made the mistake of being in Ybor for work this weekend (at night). It was absolute insanity. I saw this beautiful machine there though.

 

Do today I installed one of the $10 door actuators on my tailgate lock. Fairly easy overall to do and a lot less than the factory deal. But one question: the lock in that empty hollow tailgate is LOUD!! Anybody do anything to quiet that down in any way?

 

I like it!! Let's me know it is working.

 

I wrapped my actuator with some closed cell foam that I had leftover from insulating my door panels. It did help to reduce the noise slightly. I'm thinking of revisiting the mount for the actuator and installing rubber washers between the bracket and the tailgate.

 

I wouldn’t remove the lighter plug, you may want it for a charger or something. Get a Plug-n-play volt meter for a Cigarette Lighter plug. This one is basic, others have USB ports in them too:

I do like that approach. Wouldn't this be far less accurate than pulling out the lighter and getting a real volt meter?
