I wrapped my actuator with some closed cell foam that I had leftover from insulating my door panels. It did help to reduce the noise slightly. I'm thinking of revisiting the mount for the actuator and installing rubber washers between the bracket and the tailgate.

I wouldn’t remove the lighter plug, you may want it for a charger or something. Get a Plug-n-play volt meter for a Cigarette Lighter plug. This one is basic, others have USB ports in them too:

I do like that approach. Wouldn't this be far less accurate than pulling out the lighter and getting a real volt meter?

A real volt meter costs more than $100, the panel meters all use basically the same type of circuitry and are good for +-0.1 volts or so. It would work well enough for monitoring system voltage.

I linked my install video so you can see how bad my screens were. Its an awesome product with some good people behind it.
I highly recommend it. I am not affiliated with the company just super happy with how it came out.

How long did those 5100s make it? Wondering what kind of abuse they can take before I have the money to go with something better

From my experience they'll slap stock back on unless you have an auto body guy that works with you and uncharges the insurance to cover the cost of replacing aftermarket pieces. However once airbags are involved I think insurance companies usually total the vehicle. The bed being bent also isn't a good sign. I was recently in an accident and the total cost the auto body charged the insurance was $14,000. I needed a new tire, rim, from fender, inner fender frame, and a bunch of paint. My truck is also just over a year old. I read that once the cost to fix the truck surpasses 75% of the blue book value the insurance will total it.

-I did an oil change, new crush washer with is underrated. Mobil1, OEM filter. Hit the 6 month mark before I hit 5k miles because COVID. Also did my semi annual swearing off the Toyota Engineering F'ers that came up with the filter location and design on our trucks. A hearty F YOU to those guy, morons. Pro-tip: buy the metal filter housing that comes stock on Camrys, fits out trucks, easier to remove, much more robust even though I have full skids, it's peace of mind. Should not be a plastic part on off road trucks (again, FU Toyota Engineers, morons).

-Lubed all zerks on front and rear drive shaft spiders and U joints. Used Lucas Red N'Tacky NGLI#2
-Cleaned AFE dry media air filter
-Lubed zerks on Total Chaos LCAs with PTFE Super Lube (critical to loosen Cam bolts in order get the lube to flow in and not create too much pressure)
-Lubed zerk on Icon Delta Joint UCA with PTFE Super Lube
-Lubed zerks on Dobinson pins on leaf pack shackles
-Tire rotation and re-balance. Sure would be nice to have a TPMS sensor in the spare so we could do a 5 wheel rotation, again, thanks Toyota Engineers, morons.
