My DC has 141k miles on it, the only real issue I'm having is most likely leaking valve covers. I can smell oil when after driving for a while, but there's nothing on the driveway. I've already tightened the cover bolts, and I'll look into this further in the spring time. Like the others here have stated 150k miles is nothing, your rings should just about be set by now. Sit back and enjoy the ride, I do.

Thanks for the welcome @Kevin Jones !
So I opted out of a water pump and the 'cooling fan pulley bracket'.
At first I thought that the OEM unit would be the best call, and it may still be the best. Although, when I called my local Toyota and heard that the only unit in the country was $320 before the shipping costs from Baltimore to CA, on TOP of only having a 1 year/12,000 miles warranty for 'defects', I started questioning that.
Called up my local Oreilly's and got a Murray brand with a lifetime warranty, for only $140. Drove 5 blocks and had it in the truck 30 minutes later. The radiator and all the additional parts and fluid ended up being $300 on the nose.
The Murray unit fit perfectly. No problems whatsoever.
While I was in there I replaced the 3 drive belts and checked my pulleys. All good.
I popped a new thermostat in, installed new upper and lower radiator hoses, and began to flush the cooling system.
I followed this Toyota Tim video for the flush (see below). - 3 warm up cycles with straight distilled water and drain - then deducted the final drain amount from the overall cooling system capacity - added that amount of concentrate straight in, and then the rest 5050. Filled the overflow with 50/50 as well.

Overall I feel pretty good about it, although, there is one thing that has be a little concerned/bummed.
When I crank the heat and blower all the way, it doesn't get anywhere near as hot as it used to... It gets hot, but never hot hot... I let it run for about 30 minutes and it slowly got hotter, but again, not like before.

Would this just be due to the new radiator being more efficient? Since its so fresh and so clean?

I know I installed my t-stat the right way because it only fit the one way...

I'm thinking maybe there was a higher ratio of coolant/water in the last batch and that is what helped it heat up so hot and so quickly.... Should I be more favorable with the coolant? Maybe drain a quart, and add a quart of concentrate to get my ratio closer to 60/40 (favoring coolant) ? Any opinions would be appreciated.

    Thanks all.

I'll keep an eye on the valve covers, thanks for the tip. What are you referring to when you say 'DC'
