Hi all! Posted in another thread as well but wanted to share here too :)

As a relatively new owner of a first-gen Tacoma (1997, woot!) I came to realize that there isn't much of a grassroots 3D modeling/printing presence for our trucks. I personally was looking for a center console organizer, globe box organizer, etc, but couldn't find any companies making them.

So I set out to design and print them myself! It has been a blast and I'm still working out the details so I'll post updated images of the prototypes as they develop!

What’s the dimensions on the organizer? Wondering if it’d fit in the lower half of the newer consoles

I designed it to fit 95-00 consoles, nothing between 01-04 that have the consoles that swivel up and that have the little compartment underneath. I feel like those are the ones you're referencing. It seems Toyota made so many consoles it's hard to keep track of the designs/shapes.

And the dimensions are (roughly) 7.25" x 4.00." There are a lot of funny angles and tapers going on but in general that's the ballpark.

Did an oil change and deep cleaned the inside. Slowly working on restoring it and maintaining it after my mom neglected it for several years.

Installed the Warn m8000-s today. It all went well except my Factory 55 Prolink won’t fit on the end of the synthetic thimble. The gap where I need to connect the two is too narrow/the thimble is too big. Anyone experienced this before?

EDIT: Factory 55’s website says you have to just use a hammer or a press to make the thimble fit into the flatlink’s opening

I'm just about to do mine for the first time on the truck. Done a few timing belts on my old Audis, and I must say, it's always a PITA. At least with this truck I don't have 8 cylinders and 2 turbos in the way lol

You'll find it a lot easier than on an Audi, and you don't have to put it in service position haha. Toyota made it nice and easy to get to everything if you remove the fan and shroud

Is the service position removing the front clip?

Yup, and the second support behind the front clip haha. It's the first step in the VAG handbook, doesn't matter what you're doing, changing air filter... service position, inspecting tail lights... service position, filling washer fluid.... service position. Working flat rate? Well if you're the tech make sure the advisor now puts you in service position first (that's what the pad in the toolbox is for).
