Nice! I'll have to keep this in mind.;)

I guess I need to find a shop that has both and actually hold them to see which I like better.

The versatility of the P226 is really attractive.

The P220 that I'm looking at is the "Match Elite" it has a 5" barrel. I can't find a .22 conversion for that model.
Does anyone know who might make the .22 conversion for that model?

I dont think one is availible for that modle. Regardless, for the 350 bucks, you just as well off either buying a second pistol in .22 cal., or putting the money twards 45 ammo.

Sig make great firearms and you will not go wrong with one.
I had a 220 and ended up selling it.
I could not get over the dbl. action first pull, and the weight.
    A substantial firearm for sure.
I like it a lot for target but for carry I cannot get over the dbl. action first pull on the trigger.
I will stay with my Glock for carry.
    1911 for target shooting.
No knock on the Siggy just my trigger prefference.

I like the Glock 17, isn't Glock double action only?

my 226 is unreal. very accurate! i can hit a tennis ball size hole very consistently at 15 yards. with my glock21 (.45), the groups go occasionally wild, but i think it is because of the much bigger recoil.

either way, i can lay down some fire, when the undead show up.

Get a 226 in 9mm. (I have a 229 9mm) Yeah it has a shorter barrel, but it doesn't need to be as long as the 220's because it's a faster round. (about twice as fast) if you are worried about knockdown power, just use HP's. A 9mm with defensive rounds can be just as lethal as a .45.

No one get in a tizzy. I also run my .45 Kimber with defensive ammo too and I love it just as much as my Sig.

    I'm all about controlled expansion.
