Made it to the wash bay today :after and before

 

The amount of salty ,dirty ice that was clinging to the underside of my truck and frame was insane .

 

Ya both the wife's and my car are nasty right now. I HATE the salt that gets all over them.

 

Got a little dirty on the way home . Can’t help that living in the North East

 

I hadn't driven my car in over a week and the other night I told my wife let's take it since it needs to be cleaned of and started. Had giant icicles running from it to the ground. Made some weird noise and movements as those broke.

 

Pouring the degreaser to it.

 

Update: went out tried starting, nothing, quick couple of taps with body hammer to the starter and tried again, this time nothing for a sec or two then she started cranking, started and died promptly. Tried restart and nothing, tapped again with hammer and it cranked . Drove around the property and now it starts by key alone. Thinking starter is issue, looks crusty too. Gonna replace and see if helps (can't really hurt anyhow).

 

Yup, sounds like it's time for a new starter or a rebuild on that one.

 

How did the flywheel or flex plate teeth look?

 

Yep. Sounds like a new starter is needed.

The starter wasn't operating. If it was making a whirring noise while not starting, I would be concerned about the flywheel/flexplate or starting gear teeth.

 

Who dis guy parked in my Wingers spot? Plugged in. So you know he’s gonna be here at least an hour.

@Bigdaddy4760 , how cold ya'll supposed to get this weekend? predicting hi 30 low 17 here. my place near Bastrop is expecting 27/12 and 70% of snow.

 

Not bad Monday night. Friday/Saturday is gonna be brutal. Can see daylight thru the expansion joints.
