Thanks! I ended up in Windsor. I saw you found one as well, where did you end up?

I'm in Severance/Windsor as well in the new Hunters Crossing development. Right next to the giant castle on the hill off WCR74:rofl:. We'll have to drink beers soon. Move in for us is end of the month. Ironically we're in a new build after I was vocal about not wanting to be in one last month.

    Stuff. Also things.
Congrats to both of you guys from over here in Longmont!

It’s always good to hear that people have somehow survived the home-buying process here on the Front Range. I’m still a little shell-shocked from our buying experience and it’s been over a year now

Where we're at now, I'd consider it the grasslands (if it weren't for agriculture dominating the Platte). But hey - moving ~10 minutes east of I-25 saved us at least $50k. We took advice from Noah and similar, adjusted our view / intent, and have invested in a 5 year plan. It's also a new build so the carpet doesn't have shame and regret all over it.

Sorry to busy up your build thread, Noah!

I know exactly where you are talking about! I ended up in Raindance which is on CR13 and Crossroads. Right now I'm on the corner of 392 and 257 so once you're moved in we will definitely have to have some beers! I cant blame you for the new build. It was not on the table for me at first but eventually I realized it was probably the best option for me

Raindance is nice! I still can't believe they were allowed completely develop that watershed though haha. 5 years ago I was walking drill locations and right of ways in corn fields. Now it's all houses. Insane.

It's crazy to me that it's there. Great location with very high potential for great resale values. My lot is on the very NW corner of the development so it should keep its mountain view (detention pond directly west, then CR13 then a huge barn on a large farm) and open space to the North (this will probably get developed in the somewhat near future) for a decent amount of time

Oh and most importantly... the garage is 3 bays wide with the middle bay being a tandem and a little alcove off the side of one of the bays. It's going to be fucking awesome

Is it bad I know the area your both talking about. my company did all the electric work in there and I’m tired of being in raindance... it’s a never ending project! :annoyed:

Moved here because this feels like it could be a rabbit hole lol. The back half of the truck will be the firs half I tackle. Cage first, and then I'll cut the back of the truck off. Bobbing will be easy because I am ditching the tub for tube and mounting a fuel cell so I will only have to modify the metal not the plastic haha

yeah exactly.. remove bed and chop frame then box frame and cage right off frame. This means new shock hoops... which means new LT... right? Right? RIGHT?!

i have really been into prerunner fabrication builds lately and would love to see some of their attention to detail and design make it into the general off-road builds. Like the paneling, lowkey trunks in the bed cage, and super clean cages.

exactly. I won't be doing trailing arms like that, as much as I want to, there's something I want to do that will limit me to mounting the COs and bypasses on the axle. But a custom 4-link rear will do really well. And the low key trunk is definitely part of the plan. I have seen a few builds where the spare is mounted so it hinges up on struts and opens to a trunk, I absolutely love that idea

Check out the trunk in the middle video above. It’s perfect!

Mounting shocks on the trailing arms is definitely more of a race requirement.

what are you planning to do that requires axle mounted shocks?

Can't let the cat out of the bag on that one quite yet. But the trunk in that video is exactly what I am thinking. I'm also tossing around the idea of rad/cooler mounting in the rear, would open up a bunch of room when it comes time to tackle the front end

Does the needing extra room imply LS swap?
