Almost blew myself up and it's not even 1000 yet! I stated up my wee shop heater and ran inside for a refill, came back out, heater is still running but the garage smells like propane

Bad fitting on the back of the heater was leaking it out.

    No bueno
    I'll just shiver.

I tarped about another 1/2 cord, I just hope it doesn't last as long as forecasted. Im good if its just cold, but cold and wet, no sir cant do that. I can't stand to be stuck indoors....

A cab Skidsteer with AC/heat is looking real good right now, lol, damn, I need to start on my taxes to see if that is a possibility!

Afternoon San Antonio. So odd afternoon.... went to go to lunch and the taco lost all power as soon as I turned the key from acc to start. Have no idea why. I checked the battery Static voltage was at 12.8 That should crank but nope. Had to jump it. After the jump Idle volts look good off the Alt at an even 14v After 30 mins of idle running then a couple miles round the block. Turned the truck off. Waited about 5 min. Boom no power. Also the cables are clean, battery is like a year old OEM toyota Any thoughts?

Imma have to have a good look. Nothing’s changed. Well last weekend I did install a trailer brake that that’s plug and play plus a ground? Terminals are clean Zero issues prior to this random lunch fail

This is my guess as well. i would double check the grounds on the driver side by the battery and there are some others in the engine bay as well attached to the block itself. That would be where i start at least. Whenever you try turning the key, and get nothing, if you keep trying it and eventually it catches, it might be the starter. I had a starter starting to go bad where i'd have to turn the key probably 5-10 times before it would finally start. It didnt click or do anything, it was a no start only.

I'd put a volt meter on the battery and watch the voltage when you're trying to crank it. If the voltage drops below 11-11.5v when turning the key to the "start" position, i would suspect the battery. The clicking would lead me towards that as well, but it definitely seems strange for a year old battery to give up the ghost.

You might take the battery out and run it down to vatozone and have them load test it for free
