Yes, Roostfactor helped me install URD spec u headers with the front wheels on ramps. Should be totally doable. Mine is lowered too, so theres even less room

Yeah. Easier if you have an engine lift.

Drop steering shaft and some exhaust studs will make it an easy job.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I wrapped the URD headers in papers bags that I cut into into long spriral. Avoided any scratches while positioning, easy to remove once in place. I did not have to remove any studs but it would make it easier. Have to take extra precautions in the midwest salt planes. Did not want to have to extract broken studs. Would recommend removing front tires, have to come from below and the sides. Also recommend flex head ratcheting wrenches.

I’d think it would be even easier to take the wheels off (after putting the front axle n jack standa) so you can get at it from the sides as well

    20210206_214855.jpg Promised pics of exhaust.
URD header and y pipe, 3" flex connector to 3" vibrant resonator, then a braided flex to Magnaflow cat to 22" magnaflow, and 45 degree angled out 45 degrees just past the axle. May swap out for 24" magnaflow. Little loud, not much drone.
I haven't found an ideal 3" donut gasket for the flex coupler. Have one more to try.

    *Wrong order, fixed.

The ARP stainless studs, or the Titanium ones that @Lucario Runner posted, are perfect for preventing rust. Especially if you're getting in there.

ARP also sells a thread chaser, ( which is a must if installing aftermarket studs) to open the threads up a few thousandths. To a proper M8x1.25

That's a bold strategy Cotten, let's see if it pays off for him.

I did mine on a lift. Made life so much easier. When you have your entire arm up in the guts of the truck from below, being able to stand vs lay on your back helps loads.
