I sat in one of those when shopping for my last car. And being 6'1 with bad knees. It was worse than getting into a NA Miata on coil overs. buddy has one that practically rides on the ground. The mazda 3 was a pain in the ass in comparison.

I guess it isn't for you. :rofl:did you sit in the 2021?
Still would be better than getting taken to the cleaners and paying an 800 dollar a month car payment on a civic.

That CTR has an ass-reaming markup because of the color. Phoenix Yellow is limited to 1 year only and only some small-hundred number of VINs.
Plus this being Phoenix, dealers will upcharge for the vehicle being stored in premium air, on a premium parking spot, and farted in by premium service writers. :jerkoff:

Also I realized it wasn't even 6 months before I missed having a Tacoma. I've never ever left a car or truck and been so profoundly struck by a "fuck, I want that back" phase.
Not with my GTI, not with the WRX, not with the Miata.

    :rain:

The 2 main things I would complain about on the truck were the transmission and the access cab. Turns out both of those are options you can pick a different option on.

Yukikaze 2.0 might be a thing. In like a year. I'll have to run some numbers and make some gains on the stock market.:anonymous:

Just buy it so I can go get that fucking civic already. :spending:
Just messing with you anyway. It is 100% paid off and I don't want a car or truck payment.

I've been very tempted lately to sell my truck and get something new.

I can't really think of something else that I would really want. Only thing I would really consider is a Grand Cherokee, but I already got that in October (and now my wife has claimed as her own lol).

    what would you guys get?

I have been wanting to change too. That is why I was fishing. I looked at a new 4runner nightshade edition about a week ago. It was nice but to me it wasn't my truck and an extra 30,000 dollars nice. I wish I would have just got a 4x4 when I got my Tacoma. I don't even know if I would buy another toyota after all the shit with these turd gens. Mine is no different with the transmission shit.

I sound like a broken record when I say it but the biggest letdown on the 3rd gens was the gearing on the transmissions. Total dogshit. When a guy with a 160HP 4 banger and a guy with a 270HP V6 climb up to Flagstaff and both report the same issues (hunting gears between bogging and accelerating) you know you've shit the bed in such an epic manner that a huge bump in HP can't even solve it.

I'd have to drive the MT to see if I enjoyed it but I tend to get along with most manuals pretty easily. And the rest of the 3rd gen issues have slowly been getting worked out. The 3.5 is a good motor, it was just a bad choice to put it in a truck and expect no teething issues IMO.

Yeah, mine has had 2 front main and timing cover seals blow out in the last 6000 miles...both fixed under warranty but not sure why the first repair didn't fix it. I'm really hoping to never see oil on my power steering pump again.

Honestly for a while I thought I liked drivetrain of my friends second gen more, then the other day I actually let mine rev out to 6k and I'm now satisfied. The lack of low end response in 3.5 compared to the 97 XJ with the 4.0 inline 6 that I used to drive is quite big. XJ is much smaller but the response and torque that you can feel is much more satisfying.
