By chance could someone make a thread with a poll on it where we try and vote on a location? Later this summer if some of you guys are I would be down to meetup at a bike park for 2 or 3 days if schedules allow.

How does it pedal? I've heard horror stories about the capra. If you go to the SW meetup bring that bike along if you've still got it by then and you might sell it to one of us. Seeing a bike in person vs online makes so much of a difference.(for me at least)

    hahaha
I actually am (loosely) in the market for a bike around that 2-3k range, but I'm looking for a hardtail so unfortunately can't take the capra off your hands

I'm hungry now. Mammoth was pretty cool when I went with friends 2 years back. That was before I could snowboard so on july 4th they went to the top half of the mountain and went skiing. Was also still enough snow that even on July 4th only 20% of bike terrain was open. Cool either way.

And to anyone who ever wants to go to Sedona, I can meet you up there depending on dates. Quick and easy hour 45 min drive for me.

Hah! The Capra pedals...that's about it. lol. It isn't efficient by any means. and this particular bike is heavy. It's a great bike park bike or a shuttler. It works for pedalling but it makes you work for it. It's a tank. It just plows through everything downhill but requires effort to go up. It could be helped with a lockout but even then, it's a heavy bike that needs help. I actually liked it because it really got me into shape. haha!

yeah. HT vs Capra...two very different worlds. hahah.

Not totally sure which direction I'm going for the next bike but Commencal Meta TR 29er and Transition Sentinel are the current front runners based on my research. Currently having my shock fully rebuilt right now so hopefully that will calm the want for something new for now.
