I, do not, however recommend the OME Dakar leaf springs for the 2nd gen. I've heard and seen too many reports of them turning into a W shape within months of being loaded within their range.
For my 2nd gen, I'm going to eventually get Deaver springs once I settle down on my normal loads with trips and decide if I get a rear bumper or not.

The theory is that we would likely sleep 4 only when making quick stopovers or single night short notice trips. Anything more than that and we would be breaking out our ground tent. Fitting 4 in a pinch hopefully allows us the super quick setup/pack up we will be looking for in those type of circumstances.

I'm in the same situation as you, but 5 instead of 4. I'm relatively sure I have something planned out that will work. I'll update as I build it out. Camper in 2 weeks, then it's go time.

I think this is mixed answer depending on your use/need. Some of us run alot of weight with armor bumpers ect... some are just stock.

i plan to order a custom pack based off my weight. So it could be a stage 3 deaver or custom alcan but hard to say.

I think weighing your truck before and after would be a good idea.

then you can determine if you need a pack, AAl, or airbags

everything even stock should work for a while, but you may end up wearing out the leafs faster due too the added weight.

I’m going custom Deavers based on my weight. Already got a quote when I had my canopy and RTT. The SP is a little lighter than my Canopy and RTT setup I had. Just need to go make the order lmfao!

yah most people have too heavy of trucks. My leafs are flatter than hell. I added the extra leaf then added my swingout and the rear def sits lower. I've been told my shock mounts need to be changed but I think its my shitty leaf pack is sitting 1-2" lower than it should be

Did you weigh the truck? that's big big shocker. I will need custom ones as well. Talked with them but have not settled up was going to wait for the X1. but $1200 is the custom pack for most. Not cheap but well worth it from what i have read and been told by everyone. Some Vagabond guys went with u402 stg 3 but later had to get them custom since those were not enough.

Haven’t officially weighed my truck at a CAT scale but weighed it at weigh stations that are on the side of the roads here. I went to Oregon Spring Company. They used to make the leafs for Deaver. They quoted me $1k for custom Deavers and U-Bolts.

what was the weight over stock they are looking at? Big thin is finding the rear weight not the entire weight. Curious what they are setting you up with

I can’t remember the weight it’s been a long time ago when I got the quote. Here’s the invoice.

I went in to ask about the Stage 3 Deavers and they said it wouldn’t work with my weight and recommended custom.

My OME HD sags about 1 inch rn when I add gear to the bed, Rigd tire carrier/spare, 10+ gallon water. I empty out my bed after every trip atm since everything is expose, ride perfect rn with empty bed and rtt. But the plan is to keep everything inside constantly when i get my SP. Not planning on steel bumper any time soon.
