I'm only up slightly this year. I'm down overall from when I bought my LTC in 17/18. I guess as long as I don't put more money into it, I should be OK

From what I understand, if you sold a crypto into fiat or traded into another crypto, then that is a taxable event.

Don't take what I say as financial advice. I'm not a financial advisor or specialist...I'm just a dude that likes researching and investing in crypto. Always DYOR.

I’m going to start selling my ETH once it hits 2k and roll the profits into other alts that are lagging. I accumulated from $200-600 and compared to other alts, it has less potential percentage gains left in it.

Every crypto trade is essentially crypto to US dollars back to crypto. On the conversion to US dollars you have a realized capital gain. You then take that money and buy new crypto. imagine 100 crypto coins as 100 shares of a stock you sell that stock, get money and use that money to buy a different crypto (stock) that is a taxable sale if you have realized gains

I prefer kucoin's trading platform over Binance's. Much more user friendly imo, also the whole Binance blocking US residents for a bit and now having separate sites, not a fan so won't go back.

I did find a bag of VET that I had gotten for less than a penny and holy crap! Up 1400%

Kucoin didn't have that issue. I also like sending/receiving coins much better on kucoin. I started using both in 2017

hell yea always liked xlm for their transaction speed and low fees. picked some up at 25¢

Yeah XLM has been tearing it up. I got in between .07 and .13 on a btc/XLM trade at the start of January.

Also so far my market rotation plan seems to be working ok. I sold off a good chunk of cardano the other day around .90 where it hit the .702 fib level. then I used some of the profits to buy into dash which is still below the .238 fib level. Dash is now up 60% since.

I did the same with some vet yesterday into dash and a few weeks ago with LTC into Algo when Algo was still down at .46

full on alt season is fast approaching. IMO we are waiting for btc to make one more move up to the mid 50k’s followed by a ~50% pullback which will trigger the start of alt season For the following few months.
