Bingo. It's the Neg cable keeping me from getting it fully inserted.

Fun lesson for today! Really cold tires and pavement mean reduced grip and a bit of throttle means the rear tires swings wide!

Cold weather, sand, salt, snow, ice, hard tires.... they all require you to get that dirt track foot down and counter steer. Its ass puckering for sure. Can’t imagine the terror on a big heavy bike....

Absolutely. Leaving my hood this am for work I gave it a little extra throttle and the back end walked out on me. Counter steered and didn’t chop the throttle or mash the brakes, just slowly backed of the throttle a and she caught and straightened out.

think it was a first for me on dry pavement like that

Various builds of ninja 250s right now. They get bought by the college kids who don’t take care of them or they drop them and then let them sit. So, once they run out of storage or mechanical ability, I buy them up cheap. I have 2 running and parts to make at least 2 more but no titles. I have a black 07 in mint condition with a few mods and 8k on it, and my silver scrambler I ride most days with various years and parts. It’s, I guess an 05. Also have an old 250cc scooter that I commuted to jccc on when I worked there. I haven’t had it out in a year or so.

    what about you?

I'm legal y'all! Just did a MSF basic rider course this past weekend to get my endorsement. It was nice with only 4 people in the class but I think after 3 yrs the instructor probably shouldn't need to look at the booklet to know where to put the cones for exercises. lol. And those 30-40mph gusts got fun on day two.

Someone in class said that some dealers will give a discount on buying a bike after taking a rider course? Anyone here ever experienced that or heard that to be true?

Got done with a UCA gusset install this morning and decided to go for a quick ride. Started washing the bike since it was covered in saw and metal dust. While I was drying it, my powder coated called and said some sliders I dropped off yesterday were ready for pickup. I rolled the clean bike back into the garage and that was my day.

    :(
