Holy crap! Thanks for the detailed diagram dude! I was going to do them like I did all of my other light bars. Just set it up with an AUX switch. I just got a free rigid rock light that I might try and tap into the reverse lights with after I find a good place to mount it on the back of my truck. Should be enough light, or just another HEY IM BACKING UP sign for stupid drivers.

A little expensive but a really good solution. You can’t really see it in this photo but I actually drilled a hole in the trim piece for the wire to come through. I’ll never move it again so I felt OK doing it.

Changed my oil last weekend and noticed my coolant overflow tank was low as well as super dirty. Pics here:

    IMG_2706.jpg

    IMG_2707.jpg

Is this a sign of anything to come? Or typical of any condition of the cooling system? From my quick view it looks like the little hose on top is where its coming out from. Maybe i should replace that hose and put a clamp on it?

I topped off the level and cleaned it all up so i can see if there is a leak from any specific area:

These came in the mail today. I'm hoping to install them this weekend, but I'm still waiting on the CaliRaised switch to arrive (which should be in a day or so), and it's supposed to rain for the next five days, so we'll see. I'll post up pics when I do though.

This is how the the Nova looks on silver, also these are the matte black color not the Alpha Black. Ignore my flaky paint...that's on the list

    Brand: Alpharex
    Product Number: 880742

Installation is challenging, might take a few hours, but mostly plug and play.
You may want to cut the light grey fuse wire to fit it through the firewall boot, in which you will need to solder it or butt connector it again on the inside.

    Best Deal: https://www.cspracing.com/alpharex-...le-alpha-black-w-activ-light-drl/arex-880742/

Where I bought them (call and price match like I did): https://realtruck.com/p/alpharex-black-nova-series-led-headlights/v/toyota/tacoma/2010/ (click this link and scroll down)

You WILL NEED replacement push pins (they look like this but I don't know if these are the exact ones): https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Retai...coma+front+bumper+clips&qid=1613020746&sr=8-4

Where'd you get that mounting bracket?

Holy Jesus that looks amazing. I've been looking into doing something similar on my truck but maybe angled to the passenger so the gf can watch her stuff on road trips

AlphaRex is definitely a product to be avoided. Huge amounts of foreground light and no distance light, the light pattern is literally backwards and not a legitimate headlight at all. They clearly lack any optical engineering expertise and are just throwing some LEDs in there to sell flood lights as headlights to people that don't know better. They are literally just cheap China Alibaba headlights made by Vland relabeled and sold domestically under the AlphaRex brand at a huge markup to uniformed people. You can buy them direct off Alibaba out of China yourself for a significant cost savings. Granted they are horrible headlights, so that wouldn't be advised at all.

This was happening on my 2014 2.7l so after cleaning it I installed a clamp. It doesn’t seem odd that it would leak seeing as how when it goes into the overflow it’s very hot and pressurized so the rubber tubing is more likely to soften and leak. It does seem odd that a clamp isn’t there already.

Bed camper build and sliders installed this weekend. Good thing my buddy @disconnected had a warm garage for us to work in.
Bed build to get carpet and foam yet. But it's a good start.

you can do the same A pillar Ram Mount mod that's pretty popular, on the Pass side A pillar. I haven't but the Drivers side pillar mount proves it's worth to me every day. Like @Steevoreeno i ran the power supply under the dash and out the pillar moulding. Phone is completely away from the windshield but in the field of view. not as important on the Pass side of course.
