The weirdest thing... while I was in the abyss I started looking at long travel classifieds and saw your post, then saw a notification... it’s a sign that this deal is meant to happen. What kinda of rough price were you looking at to get the rebuild?

I think its $100 each for rear shocks, and $175 each for fronts

I appreciate the info, I’ll give them a call if we end up agreeing on a price.

The process is pretty straight forward. Ship them out with a note in the box, they will call you to confirm, then they rebuild/revalve and ship back. And they have a 1 year warranty on valving. Ill let you know how things go for me. Im hoping to get my truck back together by the end of the month. Its currently sitting in @spithead051 garage. I think I owe him some beers

@03dumdum in regards to a rebuild, the fronts shouldn’t need one yet. Not for another 20k-30k miles. Talking to rusty, there’s only like 20k miles on the coilovers. The rears are questionable with the one not holding pressure but you could always pass on those if you wanted. Or get them cheap and get the one charged locally and see if it holds pressure and there’s no other issues.

Edit: and the coilovers are almost the same as what comes in the stage 4 kit. Only difference is no clickers for on the fly adjustment.

My son raced that series and GNCC for years. Had a few middle aged friends think "Hey, that looks fun." and also got into it. The physical demands of racing through the woods where one lap was 7-12 miles was one hell of a wake up call to folks who thought they were in shape. I tried to get into dirt riding but just couldn't make the transition from street. Did a few Sumo events and loved the asphalt part and slowed like a mofo for the dirt.

    1. On a second gen, yes. Third gen has a different spring rate i believe though.
    2. All motorcycle repair shops can recharge shocks, but most wont. I use rrt. They have yet to charge me, but i kinda know them. Either way it cant be much.

I'm too lazy to answer the rest.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
That was the idea, but @03dumdum scooped them up with the suspension. Told him I'd just bring some tools to the next up. :D

Maybe I'm missing something in this conversation, but the TRD Pro Fox suspension and the aftermarket Fox suspension are completely different.

Yeah, my bad, sorry for the confusion. I'm still figuring all this out myself and am in no way an expert.

A lot sooner than expected :spending:

@Mojo Jojo They are not adjustable but will give me the lift/ride quality I’m looking for.

@EatSleepTacos thats what I was thinking, similar diameter but longer rods, different coils, the RR up front and extended travel are some of the reason I picked it over trd pro swap out (not that it’s bad just wanted more).

Okay so I'm trying to do something crazy here. Does anybody have two bullshit wheels that they don't need?

I'm pretty sure I have my OE steel 16" spare and tire laying around the garage (or the neighbors garage), can check when I get home.
