Oh they love it. Their great grandparents were the owners of Frank n frans, my wife enjoys fishing as well as myself so whether they like it or not, it’s in their blood.

went camping in ocracoke over thanksgiving, quite possibly one of my favorite places to visit. Great fishing in may-June as well

I need some advice fishing friends. I am in the market for a new spinning rod: I live on Lake Erie and a historic fishing pier that has been closed for years is being restored. It's about 2 minutes from my front door:thumbsup:. I troll for Walleye on the kayak and I'd love to do some evening and late night pier fishing for walleye with my stick baits (smithwick perfect 10, rapala husky jerk deep, bandit walleye, etc.). I'm looking for a 8' to 9' rod that can cast those lures out far with a Penn Conflict II 4000 reel. Any advice? Lures weigh about 1 oz max.

Nothing too exciting but I went south last weekend to Daytona Beach to pick up some wheel-eez (at a steal of a price) for my surf cart and got in to a handful of whiting while I waited for the seller to get off work.

She was very excited. We had a good day, pulled up 7 or 8 salmon, a few brookies, and a cusk. All the action kept her plenty busy. Salmon fishing can be slow but very fun when you hook into a big one. Check it off your bucket list as soon as you are able to!

Any chance that's in the Chattahoochee National forest? Recently I've been doing a bit of research to find some good fly fishing kind of nearby and I'm considering a trip up that way. Ever since I left VA 2 years ago I've exclusively been surf fishing, need to get back on the rivers and streams.
