A little something every chance we get.
I'll remember that thought..... looked like no one even bothering to slow down.

I called it quits after the dentist and the liquor store. It's plain ugly here, and raining hard again. Not even sure how much, because the gage reset itself! I'll look at the old fashioned ones when it stops.

Awesome, appreciate the offer! I'll let you know how it goes

    Farting heck that's awful.

Is that what's going on up north?

I'll bet their brakes were locked up.

No, what we don't see in the video, they all came over a hill/overpass and never saw a slowdown/wreck and it continued to pile up, but the other side of the traffic is stopped or very slow, so that should have been an indication to slow down especially if no wreck or emergency vehicles were seen on the other side.

Good reminder to edit route options, avoid highways/interstates during inclement weather.

    Man that's brutal.

To be fair, when the opposite lane is stopped and there's a jersey barrier in between the lanes like that I wouldn't have slowed down enough to make a big difference either. Odds are it's a safe assumption, obviously not in this case.

From my years experience in Houston, I learned when opposite traffic is slow, you immediately back off and distance because rubberneckers cause accidents as well and I witnessed some really stupid shit on those freeways. On lookers always steer into the inner lanes because of the direction they are looking and that's when the sideswiping begins.

Yeah it was ugly, I believe there were 2 accidents just like that, both involved 18 wheelers slamming to the back of traffic. Praying for those involved.
I'll make a few calls and see what I can do.......

Oh wait it's my day off and in bed right now, maybe tomorrow :notsure::D

    That's a classic @SCOTT'S TACO LOCO !!!

Man, it stopped raining long enough to cut the little foam covers for spigots and get them on. I was out 20 minutes, and I can't feel my hands! Never made it to the rain gauges, but my indoor moved a little when it got above 32* briefly. I heard a big crash when I was out back - was the wind blowing the ice off the neighbors tree, onto the sheds and greenhouse!
